...is it possible to use this on a Sony HD Handycam? You know, not a high budget, maximum capability camera, but its just a regular 1080p 60fps camera for around 250 bucks at BestBuy...So anyway, would it work on something as small as that?
@BlackHawkGaming If your camera is capable for a microphone to be mounted on top of the camera then yes it will work. On top of my camera there is a sliding cover that slides open and I can connect a microphone to it. The connection looks like a square female connector that can receive the microphone.
@itsmonti1 Well, the camera I was looking at was under 1000 bucks so I figured it probably wouldn't have that capability, because normally, Sony's HDR's only include external mic ports on the more expensive ones.
@BlackHawkGaming I got my camera at Best Buy and I think I paid somewhere around $800 for it. I don't think I could afford or even want to pay more than that for a video camera.
@itsmonti1 Haha, I know what you mean, the only personal item I have thats worth around $1000 dollars is my guitar and I never even bought it. I'm a very cheap guy, so I'm always having dreams of cheaper items with more features than it should have for its price. But thank you for the upload, this was really helpful and I believe it was exactly what I was hoping to see. So as long as the camera has Bluetooth, mic input, and optionally a hot shoe slot, I'm set, right?
