  • The Greatest Dual Military-Political Genius since the middle ages

  • @SupremoClassique He lost.

  • Anyone else got the fucked up youtube player?

  • Can anyone please tell me the name of the first song that plays?

  • @AlexanderRuin It's all music from the game, but the feel of the music is heavily influenced by Tchiakovsky's 1812 Overture. There's also some Beethoven in there, too.

While my years of musical training are fading away, I'd even venture a guess to say it's in the same key as the 1812 Overture

  • This reminds me of MOH pacific assault for some reason

  • hermosa, simplemente la música es tremendamente hermosa.

  • @CRISTIANORELAX Join Anti danhowe club and destroy his account . Because his three videos was removed currently being violent. He is enraged, He is in evil plans against to PrinceofMacedon.

  • @BonsoirDeCatamite i don't understand, what do you mean about princeofmacedon?...

  • This music is amazing. Almost makes me want to stop being at war with France.

  • This music is too good, for game.

  • @zbigniewbak Are you kidding?

  • @Zeanu Yes ;]. But i was just trying to say, that this music is wonderfull.

  • Music is great. Kinda mellow when your taking over that minor nation. Or getting pissed about sweden asking for land. hehehe but its nice music.

  • wonderful!

    Absolutely wonderfull!

  • 1 stupid ,70 genius

  • 1 stupid

  • Why did I only play this damn game once?

  • I think people are forgetting about the napoleonic code which gave legal power to ordinary citizens

  • Why they hell they ddint call jeff van dyck for make the soundtracks? After Medieval 2 , all the total war games soundtracks are really shitty

  • @ReDraG0nz after medieval 2 they went for a more professional approach, more authentic to the age. hence that they chose voice actors to do their native language instead of some ridiculous english accent

  • FUCKIN' LOVE FRENCH CUIRSASSIERS

  • @kokadragon these are caribinars

  • @RoyalPikeman LOL no, Curasiers my friend

  • @kokadragon Totally agree. In my opinion the wore one of the most beautiful military uniformss they've been ever made. Also russian cuirassiers were cool.

  • mmmhh i love the in nomine patris et filii part

  • why dont they make an expansion or something

    Ottoman total war.

its such an large area with so many wars and regions. it woud really make a good game

  • @yousuckhardtime IDK, doesn't the Peninsular DLC count as an expansion to Napoleon?

  • @ELcapalla2

No I said it kinda wrong, I mean to say:

why havent they made an expansion focussing mainly on the ottomans.

  • @yousuckhardtime Oh okay. You know, they should

  • beautiful song

  • hmmm... i liked more medieval 2 total war menu track and also the track in menu of the teutonic order

  • The sound makes me wanna go drink whiskey in the corner of my library, not conquering Europe.

  • You should upload the music on the net in form of mp3, m4a, vaw, wathever....as an unofficial soundtrack...YOU WOULD BE DOING US A BIG FAVOUR!

  • I bet the next era will be the American Civil War... conquering non-linear warfare using the gameplay model they currently use is going to definitely require some thought.

  • @Neverpiefly your probably right, that was a time of throttling eachother with their bear hands :D

  • The game and the music is great . I regret only because they made Romania and Greece but not Serbia , which is lame because from 1804 to 1813 there was a big Serbian revolution in Serbia and Bosnia , and even Napoleon passed through Bosnia to aid the Turks , and Turkish soldiers were trained in European manners ... But nevertheless game is incredible and i enjoy it as much :)

  • @chashavko Just wait for the next era.

    maybe 1840-1890,or WWI..do not worry,.

    well get some Serbian actions.

    P.S.You can run NTW?Lucky bastard.

  • @Loveyouall91 @Loveyouall91 if they do do this era, i think it would be more complicated for the player to control battles and if not the campaign screen. the tactics of armies will change by the 1860s both on the land and at sea. on land there will not be any line formations but more troops spread out, resulting in much bigger maps and more soldiers probably 5000 at once on a battle just for one side. Sea battle would be increasingly more difficult to operate

  • becuase guns woudl be more powerful and sea battle would be more spread out and how do you command a flotilla if you cannot see the enemy on the map. it will resemble to much like Hearts of Iron

  • @chashavko I agree there are to few tiny nations and they made the ottoman empire look like a bunch of rabble army with few line infantry. Wish they included a separate balkan and middle east map

  • The music tends to be too low for me in the campaign. So hopefully they release this as a soundtrack later, as it is professional music.

  • @WaffleKogen Turn up the music volume in the options menu?

  • @Chupchapchoop It is up as far as it goes. I have had the same problem with Empire, so I assume this game has soundcard/motherboard issues.

  • Incorrect, I'm afraid. I've not had any issues with it on my end, nor on the three previous systems I've played the TW games on. That being said, you could always extract the music from the files and play it that way.

  • @rgamble79 I am not incorrect. Stop trying to have a nerdy argument with me. I am fully aware of how this game works with my system.

  • His comment was pretty pointless, if you're having problems however, try turning down the volume on the rest of them and leaving the music high, that ought to make it more discernible. A pain, but better than nothing I suppose

  • @WaffleKogen but the low music describes the period, not only is this a transformation from classical music (mozart, haydn etc) to the Romantic music era (Wagner, Chopin, Beethoven etc) but it represents the dark times of the Napoleonic era where Europe was seen to be under the dark repression and occupation of Napoleons empire. The music also shows this transition in musical history from simplistic melodies to more emotional and radical uses of the orchestra.

  • @SovietGuy101 The volume I mean.

  • @SovietGuy101 hey napoleon wasnt repressing Viva La Liberty Napoleon didnt occupy he liberated

  • @MrMrmike5 french opinion, i doubt the countries he invaded, except those who actually decided to join them concidered it a liberation. and a liberation from what? a goverment that the people were more or less content with? hardly a liberation

  • @SovietGuy101 the government they had in place before wasn't any better though, it was basically a monarchy where the people were under represented, at least under the republics Napoleon set up, they were given greater liberties and besides it took something like a french invasion to kick all the monarchs of europe of their asses instead of taking everything for granted

  • @MrMrmike5 that may be true, however that is as if we treat all of society as the same. in this period class was a big deal in many countries, it determined the way life went on. so even though these goverments were destroyed 1) a fair ammount of the population resisted due to the disruption of values they accepted before and 2) the loss of their national idenity as they fell under the French Flag

  • @SovietGuy101 disruption of values? I have no idea what that means beside Napoleon's generosity regarding the lower and middle classes. Napoleon represented the trampled worker and laborer, much like the soviets thought they had. And Napoleon promoted their national identity even more. The republics formed under his regime promoted a NEW sense of identity instead of fake loyality to the king and the divine right theory which annoyed many of the working class causing revolts pre and post wartime

  • @MrMrmike5 yes, to a personb who sees injustice within their society its clear that Napoleon's rule and how he looked at society is a positive one. however, like i said, in this period, we are in industrialisation. there was a large social change but still people adapted to class systems. all the people would feel is an attack on a system they lived their whole lives by. thats how the Indian Mutiny started, thats how russian emancipation revolts started. i'm not condeming napoleon's values.

  • @SovietGuy101 i'm just trying to give historical context of society of 19th century europe, where countries like Austria, Prussia and Russia lived contently under Absolute Monarchys, nowerdays we feel its wrong, but back then it was the norm for the normal people

  • @SovietGuy101 thats what im trying to explain, people did not want the "norm" monarchy, they demanded a more representing government, especially in the industrial era in which workers and laborers demanded better representation which was not present under monarchy, besides, if monarchy was so "popular" back then, how come it isnt present today? even the serfs in your beloved russia were revolting against the tzardom in the years after the Napoleonic war they craved a break from "norm"

  • @MrMrmike5 first of all i'm not from Russia, second of all class conciousnes derived from the communist manifesto which was written in 1848, 33 years after the Napoleonic Wars. Russia abolished serfdom in 1855 after the Crimean War, which was 40 years after the Napoleonic wars and that had far more harder consiquences than results. you actually found that the Serfs didnt want this lifestyle, they liked the idea of the Tsar and the Nobility systems and this attitude didnt change until 1917.

  • @SovietGuy101 your just proving my point, all those actions happened in result of Napoleon planting the seeds of freedom in Europe, what serfs wanted to stay serfs? oh yea! i prefer backbreaking labor over freedom any day, btw i only said "beloved russia" because of your name "Soviet Guy" if you dont like Russia, why is your name about Russian communism

  • @SovietGuy101 just shut up you 2 and enjoy the song

  • @MrMrmike5 Russia broke away from serfdom in 1855, that was 40 years after napoleon's defeat at waterloo. this resulted in more negative results than possitive as the serfs didnt want to break away from the system already in place as Russia wasnt an industrial country. The industrial era did leave large gaps in class but this was only addressed under the communist manifesto in 1848, 33 years after napoleons time. i'm also not russian.

  • @MrMrmike5 my point is at this time during the Napoleonic Wars, it was a time where Nationalism played a big role in politics, where one's national identity was more important than social matters, these didnt change until after the Napoleonic Wars. When talking about the industrial revolution you have to be extremly carefull, some countries industrialised later than others. Some people were content under the current systems, some were not such as France, which led to revolution in 1789

  • @SovietGuy101 Napoleon brought the Nationalism! If it wasnt for Napoleon, the peasants would have continued to be subservent to monarchy, and i dont know where your gettin the "content" bs from. The only "content" people were the rich, the nobles, the high class which profitted from the monarchy. And besides, most of Europe was industrialised or were in the midst of industrializatiob during the late 1800's. Russia had to abolish serfdom just to catch up with the rest of Europe

  • @MrMrmike5 Napoleon couldn't of brought Nationalism as its always been a part of europe since the 1600, the serfs were content under the system as the russian abolition of serfdom showed, the fact that serfs felt insulted and annoyed that they lost lands that their families were farming on for years. you base your assesment n marxist principles, even though marxism was in 1848. so people wouldnt of had the education availlable to know about class conciousness.

  • @SovietGuy101 you dont need "class conciousness" to know that you are being treated unfairly! serfs didnt lose their lands, you dont know what serfdom is, they work the boyars land and in turn they get to live there, it is not their land so they cannot lose it anyway, and if nationalism was a part of Europe in the 1600's, how come there were no revolutions back then, it took a man like Napoleon to show the lower classes that they should be proud of a country that represents them like America

  • @MrMrmike5 ofcourse you need class conciousness, because under a system weither it be capitalism or monarchy, class was the structure which allowed exploitation. you dont really know what nationalism is, nationalism is being proud of nationality, if your proud of being who you are as a subject under that country you have more support for the regime not a contempt for it. which means there WOULDNT be revolutions. Germany was unified under Prussia.

  • @SovietGuy101 AS A SUBJECT?! Im proud to be an american but im not proud because our president is "desended from heaven" and "is the chosen one to bring order to the country" no im proud because of the countrys history, its establishment of a democratic republic where people have the most rights in the entire world! YOU are the one who cant grasp Nationalism, you mistake obedence to a monarch and the aristocracy as Nationalism, that is not Nationalism that is a cult of personality, like Stalins

  • @MrMrmike5 no, you have once again failed to understand what nationalism is. so i'll bring in a definition, the definition of nationalism by wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn states that Nationalism is the love of country and the willingness to sacrifice for it. it also goes on to state that it is the aspiration for national independance by the people, against foreign powers. which means napoleon's "liberation" would of in essence made things worse for the people not better.

  • @MrMrmike5 The idea that rulers were decendants from god only applied in absolute monarchies or Tsardom, and it wasnt just the nobility that belived it. it was the COMMON PEOPLE THEMSELVES that also belived it, so if a foreign power, invaded their country and overthrew the ruler who was thought to of been a decendant of god, hell would ensue. i mean look what happened to Germany after the Kaiser was forced to abdicate, the people struggled, the people didnt want a Kaiserless kingdom.

  • @SovietGuy101 Lets not get into nazism and post World War 1 thats off topic although its relevent to the Napoleonic era and social politics

  • @MrMrmike5 if Napoleon really planted "this seed of freedom" then why didnt the countries who were occupied under napoleon take 40 years to change?! why did it take 33 years for somebody to talk about class division, serfs obviously wanted to stay serfs otherwise they wouldn't of complained and eventually ASSASINATED the Tsar who set them free. if the serfs or the workers really didnt like the class system then they would of revolted like france did

  • @SovietGuy101 First off, the serfs did revolt, there was a huge clamour for reform and it took years of revolt to finally convince Tzar Alexander II to abolish serfdom in 1861 who decided it was better to abolish it then than to have it abolished after a revolution and since he still wouldnt give the land to the serfs the land they worked on, he was assassinated, and to the previous statement, Napoleon created a path to freedom for these countries Italy(unified), Germany(unified) with republics!

  • @MrMrmike5 The serfs did not revolt, Russia itself was backward but they still had faith aswell as respect for the system. years of revolt (which there really wasnt any) wasn't the reason why Alexander II reformed, Alexander II reformed because the loss of the crimean war in 1857 highlighted a need for change and modernisation. the serfs and the peasantry were too poorly educated to understand reform, which was why when the reforms were established, none apart from the nobles knew what it meant.

  • @SovietGuy101 I wonder who allowed the serfs to be poorly educated? oh yea! Your precious landed elite who rather have worked the serfs to death than to introduce a education system so the serfs could become specialized workers, thats why Russia needed to catch up with Napoleon III and Bismarck who led their countries with prinicple instead of only stopping serfdom the governments own benefit! In france under Napoleon I, the Napoleonic code forbade aristocracy and made it so jobs tothequalified

  • @MrMrmike5 Education wasnt really needed during the industrial revolution in terms of how to work. sure the nobles who did have education had some advantage but the people were content due to nationalism, by working they felt they were doing their bit for their country. a good economy, it wasnt as bad as people thought it was. people didnt starve as much as they did under post napoleonic war inflation. and morale, most workers despite poor conditions enjoyed their lives.

  • @MrMrmike5 my point is, when assesing Napoleon's impact on Europe from 1803 - 1815, the only radical transfromation Napoleon caused was a change in warfare. Mass Artillery was a tactic not used to most of Napoleons enemies, but social transformation? unlikley. perhaps France was one of the earliest Liberal countries, but that didnt have much of an effect on the rest of Europe. The change from Monarchy to Liberalism happed in the mid 1800s

  • @SovietGuy101 First off can you limit your responses to 1 plz im really wasting alot of time addressing each paragraph. Secondly, Napoleon was no ordinary general, he was a period of history, a cornerstone of Europe and led the continent down a path that resulted in the charge to the republic system. to yor second para, your basically saying nationalism is tool used by nobles(thats not good)i would like evidence of this happy working class image you imply thats not propaganda(gov. isnt country)

  • @MrMrmike5 i only use 4 paragraphs because i needed to address your argument in detail, Napoleon's revolution was in warfare not in politics. you seem to have a marxist approach to the argument, which is sensible but marx wrote in 1848 not 1803 so thats why people were not so aware of class conciousness. also, you said you didnt follow your president because he was a decendant from heaven, but people in europe belived their ruler was...until darwin who publishe his book in 1859

  • @SovietGuy101 You have to look beyond the warfare to the lasting effects it had on Europe. Im not a marxist, actually im a conservative libertarian but im just stating the facts as it is and even i could agree with marx that power should belong to the people over any government or monarch. Also, I dont know what darwin has to do with the divine right theory. Darwin did natural selection not social politics. You assume that people were content. However, why did communist revolutions take place?

  • @SovietGuy101 wow dude u actually made all the comment, for me napoleon was a hero but a fool lol

  • @SovietGuy101 Calm down dude.

  • @thehungrynerd117 will do sorry :P i actually really like the music, its just somebody started debating history so, got a little carried away. didn't want to politicise the comment pannel :/
