I think Germaine Jackson wrote it and I don't recall any lawsuits against him by Ashford and Simpson, but I wouldn't accuse him of ripping them off. As for the arrangement and singing style resembling Diana Ross', I don't really see how else the song could be sung in any other style, and a lot of the female radio top 40 stuff sounded like that around that time. If Germaine did write it, I'd like to think of it as more of an homage than plagiarism. I think Marie is such a sweetheart.
She also sings PLEASE TELL HIM THAT I SAID HELLO on this album. I loved it when I bought it aged 12, but then I discovered Olivia and didn't really play it again.
Great release!..As this was the beginning of the Disco Years I wish Marie's producers would have made an extended "club mix". Does anyone know if this was ever released on CD?
This is such a great song sure sounds reminesent Diana Ross's Ain't no mountain high enough. Marie was never country and this proves it! Thanks for this.
Why can't you buy this album on Itunes? Even in the Amazon Marie Osmond store, it's unavailable?? Does Marie hate this album?? I love it....memories of 1975!!
I Love this album and I Finally was able to find it after years of searching for it. This is not the only good song on the album. There's also Miss You Nights and Run To Me (written by the Bee Gees)
Absolutely agree, this is an awsome album and was recorded when her vocal talents were at their peak. Not that she isn't still exceptional, she is, but in her early 20's she has just that little bit more clarity and sharpness in her voice which I at least prefer..
man, my friends would bug me about liking this song, but I did. Marie was hot, she still is.. This song is a tad bit slow.. sounds like a turntable is off pitch. I think I'll upload this song to my profile.. check it out folks in about a week or so.
Love this song.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one here who hears this song as a ripoff of Diana Ross's version of 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'.

This hit the Top 40 in June 1977. She was born in Oct., 1959. She wasn't even 18 when she recorded this.

She recorded this across the river in Muscle Shoals. Sure wanted to sneak into Fame Studios to get a look.
