Many years ago (Reagan administration), I was compiling as many recordings by Jimmie Lunceford and his orchestra from as many sources as possible. I was transferring them from vinyl records (remember those?) to a personal set of cassets. When I arrived at the recording of this two-sided selection, the needle got stuck on the 33 rpm record, although it was brand-new. Thanks to cdbpdx, I can hear it in its entirety, without skips or "clicks".

Bought this record in 1948. Seem to remember the band was not led by Jimmie?
Nice to find it again, have missed it.

Better ask what I don't know, you'd be surprised. Like about black holes or australopithecines.
