  • no me gusta. it's not written by radiohead, and it shows.

  • In first stages this theme was called "OK Computer"...

  • perfectly fits this EP

  • What is this album?? and I thought that I have all their albums :(

Whats the name of this album plz?

  • @MrColdheadRadioplay

Having all the Radiohead LPs gives you access to like half their music. Read the description, this is from the Airbag EP.

  • If Radiohead toured and based their setlists solely on b-sides I would be completely fine with it. This song is one of the reasons why, I don't think I can say that about any other band.

  • I was born in East Palo Alto, the ghetto part but nonetheless California and now I live near Chicago. What the fuck is wrong with me?

  • I live a half our away from Palo Alto xP

  • oh god when i first heard this song i didnt know it was radiohead.

    LOVE IT.

  • I love this song. On a weird side note, it kind of reminds me of that one song in Toy Story called Strange Things at some parts.

  • Palo Alto is such a gay fucking town. How do I know this? I live there.

    Patrick Long.

  • This song was originally called "OK Computer." They didn't like the song, but liked the name (hence....).

    Great song though.

  • This mini album is amazing. Radiohead could've just as easily used most of these songs on the album after OK Computer. But they wanted to reinvent themselves and had the balls to release Kid A. And it paid off!

  • @WickedLiquid This EP could be looked at as a stylistic bridge between OK Computer and Kid A. It features more abstract lyric and some electronic music; the two most distinctive features of Kid A when compared to the rest of their albums.

This EP for me is a sign of things that were to come, some songs such as Palo Alto are still keeping with the prog-punk vibe that was the Bends-OK Computer, while those such as Meeting in the Aisle are serious foreshadows. Signs of the changing style.

  • @giliam415

It's guitar rock... and there aren't any lyrics drawn from hats in this song...

  • @TheCagedTiger Sure, but this EP still symbolically signifies a changing musical direction, it isn't Kid A, but it's moving toward it.

And anyway, Palo Alto isn't really like Kid A at all, I never said it was. But Meeting in the Aisle, A Reminder and Melatonin definitely are.

  • should've opened OK Computer and segued into Airbag.

  • @YellowDartToons Mmm i'm not sure, i think the strong guitar bit at ok computer, starts the album off with a new sound, that would be different to the bends, haha well :)

  • @gon2bed86 yeah actually it goes awesome after Fitter Happier better. at least in my ipod playlist now haha

  • @YellowDartToons so theres no awesome songs before fitter happier?? thats just mad to even think that, if your a radiohead fan i think :O

  • @gon2bed86 what? nah dude I was talking about the band should've put this on OK Computer and it FITS awesome after Fitter Happier. lol

  • i used to walk in with a stack full of cd's back in the day and blast the shit out the speakers at circuit city, best buys, good guys, wall mart etc... this was one of those bangers!!!

  • this is SO different from anything they've done. I love all their albums, but it'd be cool if they made a few more fun songs like this.

  • this song makes me laugh. that's really cool.

  • i like the little scratches in between chords

  • The first sentence of the description is incorrect; it is Palo Alto (title says it too)

On-topic: Amazing song, my favourite B-side

  • Thanks for pointing me to that. It's a common typo of mine ^^'
