Yes this is a car SO WHAT! its better then a hatchback, roomier, more powerful and has the ground clearance and "trail" capabilities for back country roads. NOT OFF ROADS! Who cares if its on a Caliber platform, it has diff features and isn't the same car. I have a Toyota Matrix now and this car with the Rallye package would be great for me as I do a lot of back country road driving in snow, mud and sand and camping. I'm not looking to climb rocks. Just get me where i need to go at a good price
I own a black 4x4 jeep compass which is excellent on gas, fun to drive on the sand at the beach and looks immaculate, I still receive compliments on her.
the difference btw compass or patriot is just the look i tried them both before buying my compass maybe but not so sure is that the compass is a bit lighter in weight!

i am thinking of buying this .. and i am curious on acceleration, i hear it might be a problem and i was wondering is it that bad and have you had any problems passing in it?
well u know its a V4 car but still a 2.4 enginge its heavy weight is kind of a problem...but still its not that bad when it comes to acceleration on a plane road remmember its a V4!! my advice it is a really good car if ur looking for an economic car GO FOR IT!!
um yeah its a jeep, cause it says so on the fucking steering wheel. is it a 4wd jeep or a offroad vehicle? no. its like saying that a wrx is not a wrx because it doesnt put down 300 like a sti.

The Compass is nice, however decided on a Patriot insead.
The outside of the Patriot is just more desirable to me.
