Utilizzare voci adatte ai ruoli farebbe un gran bene alla lirica ed all'identità vocale (ma anche scenica) dei personaggi delle opere. Cercate il video di Paolo Washington all'Arena di Verona...

He has a beautiful bass voice, with a good solid ringing tone. I'd like to hear more of him. I don't hear any baritone highlights. I think he can act adequately, this seems to be one of those stand-and-sing stagings, I'm sure he is doing what he is told. He does get much more expressive, vocally at least, as the area continues. In this staging, the chorus is sitting around with little opportunity to act, obviously they are being told to sit and sing. I'm sure they would rather run around.
in my opinion he is a bas-baritone, and then... they could have juts put a table in he enter, and have the guy sing in the back.. cuz it was the same... no acting, how how boring! makes this aria, something heavy to watch
La voce è davvero bella, pastosa e calda, dal vivo ancor più che in registrazione, ce ne fossero di voci italiane così!! La tecnica è molto buona deve solo crescere anagraficamente per poter affrontare ruoli di un certo tipo con più maturità vocale, ma è già partito con le corde giuste!!
Very good technique and good voice. He is young but he is a bass, I defintely don't agree with those who say he's a baritone. Unfortunately this performance really lacks of interpretation.
He's still young. The voice is pretty, but he sounds like a young college bass who sings all the right notes, with a consistent voice, but lacks the LIFE EXPERIENCE to bring credibility to his vocal colors of choice. I want to hear him in 10 years. Ever heard Ildebrando d'Arcangelo? He's about 9 years older and sings more age-appropriate rep.

Burak's voice sonds old and often "balla", besides he is not so young and far from being so handsome like this guy here. Ithink the boy has a future if makeing further steps to think what is he saying - to be better dramatically.
The other 28 year old bass from Fitz65 is more impressive. This is more what we expect of a young bass. Promising.
BTW he is perhaps made up to look perhaps 30 years to young for this part. He is recounting events that took place at the time when the tenor and baritone were infants.
Good fundamentals, still young though I guess. Not sure about the conducting, he could act a bit more, but again he's only young(and concentrating on technique), could turn out to be a good bass when his voice matures a bit more, and he gains experience. I like him though, nice work from Mr Palazzi, and I love this aria so much, wish I was old enough to sing it.

Pretty damn awesome for 28. True, he's lacking a little on the dramatic side, but he's definitely got the chops. I liked it a lot.
