whose age is now 62 ,still holds her beautiful voice.

her old song Scat of the daybreak inJapanese was Itune

no 1 hit song in America & canada.last year her name is Saori YUKI.We have suspected that her amazing hi voice can hardly last 10 years since

she showed up on Jap TV show for the 1st time.

Your coment gets to the point.I hope that Charice will have a clue to resolve her problema.

@tamtam1100 I respectfully disagree about the power of her voice. Unfortunately I do agree about her weight. Not that she looks bad, but that it is unhealthy for her. I believe she is not belting out high notes on purpose to preserve her voice. She doesn't have to prove to her audience that she has the talent to do it anymore. I'd like to think she has more control of her vocal power rather than losing that ability.

@teejay1496 @MrSampaguita I really think it's time for Cha 2 preserve that 'golden voice' that we all wanna hear that is her bread&butter.She's been singing for what, 11 yrs since she's 7? I've seen her at her best just with this free YT uploads & couldnt ask 4 more. Hasnt she proven herself already? Even Adele who's on top of the charts is suffering from a vocal illness & is taking a breather.Id rather see her around for a long time than see her whipping that vocal chords away.

@teejay1496 It's not a question of can't or of being tired cuz she can if she wanted to. It's a question of voice preservation & that is smart thinking on her part. Further, exactly how high do u want her to go? The way she sang here is bloody well high enough - LOL ! I think (scratch that) I know u wud have a heck of a time trying to find another singer that cud duplicate this performance. Some of u Filos need to realize that control is more respected over the birit style u are accustomed to.

@MrSampaguita69 yes shes controlling and reducing the belting to rest her vocal chords...she has numerous singing engagements recently and upcoming shows for her infinity album and corporate shows..she is the most in demand artist now in U.S I would say with her tight schedule..

@MrSampaguita69 same here.. why kaya?nasaan na ang super powerful voice ni charice, sa mga performances nya dito di ko napigilang kumparahin ang mga kinanta nya ngayon at dati, gaya ng stand up for love mas powerful at strong ang boses nya dati, tapos yung the prayer parang operatic at powerful ang boses nya dati yung sa asap with gary and jed. unbreak my heart mas powerful din dati yung sa asap she hit the last note.

@abakada476 when it comes to "birit"---dime a dozen can do it....but what Charice does is rare....she' s in the vocal class of the best in her style....in par w/ Whitney, Mariah, Celine (in their heyday).....if she were a violin, she'd be a Stradivarius....Charice has nothing to prove anymore....she just has to show that she can be better as she emotionally matures...personally I find her performances in Phil shows as way over the top...i find her understated performances more powerful....

@thethornbirdsings Well said ! I love ur analogy of a "Stradivarius" - perfect ! & I totally agree with you. I so much prefer the way she is singing the songs now than before.Her "Unbreak My Heart" was just beautiful ! I am often amazed every time I see some Filo make a comment about this issue cuz singing has never been about high notes. It is about control, feelings, passion & the melody of the voice. That is how one connects w/ the audience. SMH at the those who live & die of high notes.

@Deathtoautotune2010 thanx for your reply...and much as I love Toni Braxton's rendition I have to say I luv Charice version even more....i don't know if its bias but I just happen to love every cover she makes of others' songs and this is in spite of my great respect for singer-songwriters and those who initially made a song famous... she is changing all that.....and I think we're simply seeing the tip of the iceberg as far as her musical talent is concerned...

@thethornbirdsings Believe me the sentiments are mutual :) When she covers a song, she brings her own style to it, both in the context of melody and emotions. She literally becomes one with the song.

I hope she is able to get through this horrible tragedy cuz seeing her collapse on the church floor was heart wrenching.

@abakada476 I think that her 'belting' in earth song duet with neyo plus the all by myself super duper high notes and even that FoxTV Gleeseason2 finale craazzy high note she did in the song AsLongAsYou'reThere were just vocal suicide. She probably realized doing that would be detrimental to her voice in the long run. I like her voice now coz she's more comfortable singing but has not sacrificed quality. If u listen to her recent album she does more belting.

Her past performances speak for themselves.Heck Celine does not belt like she did in the past, why shud Charice? PPL who judge Charice's talent on the basis of hitting the same high notes time & time & again, know nothing about music. I think such ppl wud be better of going to a yelling match - LOL.& like I said to the other person, she went high enough on this rendition - no need to go further.
