you are dumb, 98SE is amazing i still run a fully operational desktop with sound system,ATI RAEDON 7000 VC, dvd drive, and flash drive support. and i have my gui time and system bios set to 2010 and it dont flip out, all in all windows 98SE is one of the best windows OS, allong with 2000 pro, Xp, and 7 is good for a new 64bit.

In general Windows sucks. It's not even made by Microsoft, they outsource all their programming (at least that's the excuse they use when they get caught with GPL code). Come to think of it, they outsource everything from marketing to software and they only have the kernel slightly modified each version and add crap to the software stack to call it something new. It's a genius for the company and crappy for the customer, business model.

Win98, WInME , and WinNT are horrible operating systems. Once they hang you will be waiting past your death for it to recover. It does not matter if you install it on a old machine or new machine regardless it will put a frown on your face in a hurry.

Win98 is the best WinOS ever made! i still use it, and it suits me just fine. it only crashes on old slow computers like yours. put it on a "Vista compatible" computer, and you will experience true enlightenment.

I still use win 98, its a great system, it runes better than vista/xp, you just need to upgrade your ram cards, n have a large cpu. but win93 was THE BEST, u just need the memory n upgrades to run corrent programs n extents.

It was the same with my old Dell computer from 2000. It had 98SE on it and as far as I know, it never crashed or bluescreened. It worked great. It crashed only on Windows 2000 when it was upgraded.
