Yes, it was wonderful. Yup they're little, almost see-through crabs that tunnel through the sand. They're lots of fun to watch while sitting on the beach!
Yea, there were actually two fires going . . . one down on Hatteras Island, which was the one that we got the smoke from. We had it on Tuesday evening and again on Saturday morning. I was really avoiding it, because of my allergies and asthma. And the other was in the Dismal Swamp area, which we experienced a lot of smoke from while driving home yesterday. It was pretty thick and smelly! I love to just sit under the umbrella and listen to the waves too! Hmm, yet another common trait, huh? LOL
