The more I watch these 70's 80's era children shows, the more I hate the explicit lustfulness and debauchery on today's television. A damn shame American T.V. today is tolerated in the name of Freedom to broadcast filth to our children. The internet is the exception, an outlet to find out anything you want. T.V. Stations should not be alllowed offer shows to the public that border revealing base theatrics.
when I was a kid although I watched 3 2 2 Contact and loved the Blood Hound Gang the cackling Ghost episode kind of scared me but I watch it know and realise how hokey the ghost part of it is
Anyone remember a show that was like this only the kids had special stones with power? it came out around the same time and i was really young to remember but it freaked me out
One thing that I found interesting about this episode as a kid: When Ricardo wipes the drop on his sleeve, in the recaps, they use very different takes. So we see three totally different takes of Ricardo wiping his sleeve. lol
In about 1998 or so a good friend and I were having a drunken conversation at a club... and realized that not only did we both like this show, but that this was our favorite episode. We were both about 25 or so, and when we started describing the shadow to each other, we both had tears streaming down our faces because we remember being so scared!!!! We straight-up cried in a club about this episode.
They poured alot of salt in the well to get something to float to the top that was missing. Can't remember if it was a book, or sculpture or something the criminal had throw in the well.
I also remember an episode where the theif had faked a 7 minute mile to cover his tracks. So many great memories.
"The Case of the Flying Clock". The man who possessed the clock threw it down the well and pretended that it was stolen in hopes he could collect on the insurance. Unfortunately for him, The Bloodhound Gang saw the huge bags of salt he was going to use to make the clock float in the well after everybody had left.
oh thank god this is here, i was looking specifically for this episode! my sister and i were just talking about this, with the figure in the window. I agree with many of you, it scared the crap out of me as a kid. anyone remember an episode with something in a well? or something about steam on a bathroom mirror? brilliant show.
does anybody remember after watching films in elementary at the end some guy would be playin the guitar singing(IF YOU WANT IT ,GOT TO GET-FLY HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH. LOL
OMG! I loved this show! thank you for posting this!! this is so cool!! I was little when this aired. This was part of another show I think, I can't remember the name. Do you know what I'm talking about ? Was this show on PBS? I can't remember. I love the theme song! If they only made shows like this now! hum!
OMG! I cannot believe I've come across these... Youtube, I love you:o)! 3-2-1- Contact was everything when I was a kid, and the magazine was my first subscription.
Finally. I've exorcised the Cackling Ghost from my childhood memories. Up until I saw this again, I couldn't think about this episode without getting the goosebumps.
That ghost TERRIFIED me. Funny, now it sounds exactly like one of the Looney Toons. I also love how utterly complicated the theft plan is...all in effort to explain moth pheromones!

I grew up on 321 contact. I used to love this little segment.
Sadly, Marcelino Sánchez the actor who played Ricardo died of AIDS related cancer in 1986.
RIP to a great talent.
