Hiya im trying to learn yoshimitsu, and i have to congratulate you for your awesome skills =) i was wondering though, on the last combo with Kuma 186 damage, you do a sword smash that goes through the opponent and get you on the other side of him, how do you do that attack? i have searched and searched on internet and seen it in many movies but i cant find an answer. plz help =)

@bardockecool the wierdest thing on that is not the sword smash that goes through the opponent , (that move is really simple on PS2 just try to press : a double move forward and followed by triangle) but the smash attack with the spinning that have been enhanced by charging at first.

hey ppl. I can do Yoshimitsu's Poison Knee Taunt. but how did he do it with the sword stab against bryan at 0:13.

Also at 0:34. when he stabbed himself, howcome his health did go down much.. i know practise mode, it seemed like his health went down just a little and recovered it back while doing the combo on bruce..

@devilboy55 the sword stab is the best single attack from him i know so far, its done by pressing the opposite direction you're facing twice and square, its how i beat everybody :D

If you mean what he does on 1:10, in tekken 4 it was done by going back (press 2 times back), then jumping back (press between up and back), if I remember right. You can try that.

He is difficult to master, but he is definitely one of the most rewarding characters. A REALLY skilled player of Yoshimitsu is essentially unbeatable because of his unorthodox movements. It makes him really hard to predict.

I'm more partial to the SC Yoshimitsu (because you can utilize his different stances much better), but Tekken Yoshimitsu is definitely a force to be reckoned with :P

go to practice mode, pause the game and there should be an option called "Command list" select it, all Yoshimitsu's moves are there, all characters have it, with different moves

my favorite is the manji dragonfly, it's basically pressing up, triangle and square at the same time, it's the one like the heli, after you do it press triangle 3x, when your opponent is down, come up close and press square, that's my self-made combo

I'm not a huge fan of juggling but I guess what works, works. There were some nice moves in there. Although I'd like to see them pulled off against a live opponent. Most seem to have a way to small window of chance to get just right. Very impressive though. I didn't know you could hurt an opponent with Yoshi's suicide before ever hitting yourself. Good to know.

here's one, but it's pretty hard to do on a real battle:

press <-- once then press and hold <--, then press circle, it takes a long time, you can be attacked easily by your opponent, but if you do it right, Yoshimitsu will stab your opponent, it consumes 3/4 of your opponent's health gauge

I know that u can do the sword reversal (1+4) in precise timing after some backward moves by pressing u+1+4 (for example f,F+1+2,N,u+1+4 , or MED,3+4,~u+1+4) but how does it work for flea (1+2) or bad-stomach (D/B+1+2)?

You can use the Practice mode, then pause the game and look for the Command List. There, you'll find all movements for the character you've chosen, although I've heard about some hidden moves that aren't on the list. In this case, you can look for them on Google or Bing. Bye! :-)
