Scrapped a couple of comments tonight thru whisky lol! Just got to say that this is blues purity, and not at all R n B Sixties pop. Love to know who's playing lead - Richard or Jones? Take it Jagger's on harmonica? New Led Zep fans take note : )
@Kelly14UK Key to the highway was recorded at chess studios Nov 1964. from what i gather from session info it is either Brian Jones or Howlin’ Wolf . my gut felling is it's Jones
at 4:32 is that a Weissenborn he's picking or was that his custom (later stolen) electric "Lady Jane" dulcimer? That's Stu in the background. God keep them both. They founded the band...
WOW where those songs from??? Are they early Stones rarities, never heard them before. I'm 39 but my Dad 1944-2005 got me into the Stones, She's A Rainbow was the first rock song I remember hearing. Without Brian there wouldn't have been a Rolling Stones. Thank you Brian for your wonderful musical talents, and for getting The Stones together. I just hope that one day the truth will out about and you get the justice you so rightly deserved 41 years ago.
@hippymoonchild Brian was one of the great guitarists, great class for ever ...
Without him, no Stones and no one could not replace him, Mick T or Ronnie Wood, the good old Stones with Brian, Mick, Keith, Bill and Charley. lost of love
What a lovely collection of photographs of Brian!!Truly wonderful, thanks! And that's a great quote by Bill wyman,at least he gives Brian the respect he deserves.
He has such an aura around him. I wasnt born until 1978, I just pick it up from his pictures, from the old footage, he just oozed this cool and appealing presence, his talent and obvious experience , quite menacing eyes at times but also the most adorable handsome man I think I ever saw.... what a boy he was. 'without Brian Jones, there would not have been a Rolling Stones.'
Brian was the inventor and inspiration of the Rolling Stones, only to later lose control of the band that he created and ultimately be kicked out.

This song sounds alot like Good Times,Bad Times from their 12 X 5 lp. They probably took the melody from it.

What a gently man! I think that Mick and Keith overshadowed Brian,
and he was highly underrated as a musician.
