This is a nice tutorial, and it is very well explained. But I have one suggestion. On the texts reflection, you could use a white-transparent gradient to make the text look more reflective.

GIMP is just as good as Photoshop (possibly even better)and not as ridiculously expensive.

In photoshop, it's easier to get the effects. ( ex. Make text glow = Just click on layer> FX> and add the glow.) But in Gimp, you have to go through more steps. (ex. Make new layer, click grow and blahblahblah :o) You know what i mean?

I haven't tried it, but I believe you can use the "perspective" tool on your text layer and slanting it like that.

I'm going to explain what's happening when I try to do this. Okay, so I'm trying to give one of my logos to have a reflection, well... once I paste my logo on GIMP it has 3 layers, when I try to click on the logo's layer, it won't let me! What am I doing wrong?
