  • And it even sounds like a porsche flat six....! GREAT!

  • @nicjasno yes it's a bad computer. I have another one now. I think the LPE's shake them up too much (-:

  • Well.... It displays weird readings. Sometimes just removing the battery and putting it back in helps. I had this also sometimes, where a speed computer would display high rpm figures, where the engine was clearly running slowly.

  • Your speed computer is broken.

  • @nicjasno How is it broken sir ?

  • Put oil inside!

  • @ivancito54 No!

  • @DrDudeNL Its necessari!

  • @ivancito54 I respectfulli disagri!

  • @DrDudeNL lightweight flywheel might help you rev quicker :P check my vids lol

  • @Hargak Cannot make it lighter than no flywheel at all, perhaps this is also a tip for you, and future videos :-)

  • @ivancito54 You ever use powdered graphite for lube? should save the plastic, the WD40 eats into the plastic a bit, while graphite will wipe off

  • @Hargak OK Mc Key!

  • you must have a flyghwheel

  • what type of compressor do you use? how many psi to reach these rpm's?

  • @evilguigui21 I use a small airbrush compressor at about 5 atm (don't know about the psis ;-) ) I also use a 2 coke bottle 'fuel tank'.

  • It makes exactly the same sound :D

  • awesome.

  • I'm not an expert at engines or anything...but i think you should attach a flywheel to make it rev more smoothly so that the computer can read RPM more accurately. Also, it looks like the frame needs to be more rigid. I can see the whole engine twist as it revs and maybe that's another reason why it's revving like an old farming machine. Just giving some of my thoughts here!

  • I love that, especialy sound of this engine is very cool, wish I could someday make something like that

  • That's pretty damn cool!! Legos are the best toy ever!!!!!

  • Heb je instructies en onderdelen lijst?

  • @njkuijper Sorry, I don't have instructions. In fact, I make these movies instead of instructions.

  • cool a vw and porche engine lol

  • Is that little yellow thing showing rpm?

  • @Needled247420 yes, at the end the dial shows that it reads RPM

  • Crazy Plastic H 6 Boxer engine.

  • @Needled247420 thanks man... although technically this is not an H engine, that would require an additional flat 6 (check wikipedia if you are interested) :-)

  • @DrDudeNL H is horizontal which is what the Cylinders are in this engine.

  • @Needled247420 Ah, yes they are. I want to build an actual H engine one day, but it is not at the top of the list. BTW, yes, the yellow thing is a lego speedometer, but I consider this one unreliable.

  • @DrDudeNL I like this its pretty cool. Did you Build it?

  • @Needled247420 Yes... Thanks!

  • Really great! I want to build one to. Can you maybe post a Video where you show the engine slowly from all sides (bottom side!). I'm a LPE newbie so that would be a big help. Thanks man

  • @mecmuffin Thanks for the compliments. These cylinders and switches are somewhat expensive, and it is tricky to get them right, so unfortunately I don't have a lot of them. As a consequence I always take the engines apart before I build a new one. So this one, unfortunately, has ceased to be. So I cannot help you in this way. In addition to that, this particular one is a challenging build, mainly due to the half-stud extra distance between lower and upper plane.

  • @mecmuffin I recommend to start with something simpler :-) E.g., try my 3I, check the animation I made, that should help. Good luck!

  • oh s**t, it actually does sound like a little plastic version of a subaru/porsche motor :o

    thats well good (y)

  • TRULY AMAZING! U make this urself or did use intructions, of u did, SEND ME! Anyways work of art bro

  • lol it's a subie engine

  • sounds like my old van

  • very nice!

  • Reminds me of a subaru.. :)

  • @Visbac you don't know Porsche right?

    Subaru ~ 1975'...

Porsche since 1923 making Boxer engines, and the project is from 1909 of an aeronautical engine...

  • @russotragik I can't say I'm a huge follower of Porsche, so no, I don't know Porsche. Still reminds me of a Subaru. ._.

  • @Visbac can't believe that i read this...

VW Käfer, Beetle, Carocha, Ocho, Fusca, Escarabat, Brouk, Kupla, Sedàn, Coccinelle, Жук...

man, you must be from outer Europe, or from Japan...

  • @russotragik Correct. I'm far from Europe.

  • y que mas hace

  • can you tell me were to get the peices and have the instructions on youtube thanks

  • Wow impressive with the valaves and everything

  • Anyway, your engine looks great! Quite smooth....I never tried making a boxer before, but it looks like the pistons have very little stroke. 2 stud stroke? Also, where do you get your tubing/T-connectors?

  • @35Racerboy Thanks man. I recommend making a boxer, it is worlds apart from other designs in terms of balance. This engine has a 3 stud stroke, the crank is identical to the camshaft which is fairly clearly visible in the movie. Eh, perhaps it is mirrored, but anyway the basics are the same. Tubing and connectors are festo (clear tubing and connectors), and R/C car/aeroplane fuel hose (opaque tubing).

  • @DrDudeNL Hmmm I just realised that what I call a 3 stud stroke should really be called a 2 stud stroke... Anyway, the stroke you get when you make a crank using 1x2 liftarms as start parts, and 1x3s in the middle.

  • The speed computer is horrid. It goes from around 300 to 340 then 260 when it is being turned at constant RPMs.....They should come out with a better one that DOESN'T read in 20 rpm increments *facepalm*

  • Your timing seems just a little bit off but other than that it is AMAZING!

  • ja k geloof mijn speed computer soms ook niet meer op mijn motor van lpepower.com maar je kan het gemakkelijk testen draai gewoon 1 keer per seconde en als ie dan 60 tpm zegt is t goed
