Oh no! The sound is high definition! So we can hear every single piece of crap tone this guy is outputting <:O!!! But seriously I have this guitar, and it honestly sounds x10 than it does in this video lol
Err, I'm an EMG fan personally, but this guitar is raw, for sure. Its a higher end Dean of course, but what I can't fucking figure out is, why this guitar is around 1,099$, and the V model of this exact same guitar, same hardware, graphics, Floyd, everything, is around 3,000$. I'm a V fan personally, so this kind of kicked me in the balls >=\
I played this today at guitar center, i wasnt impressed with the playabilty but i think thats because the dipshits are too lazy to do a proper set up on it and put somthing other than 12's tuned to standard but it felt great and sounded warm
dude its the same one with the others except from the paintjob i have explosion it doesnt sound different and the only thing i see different if the black tuners and rosewood
@0yavuz I dont think that it would sound shitty, i think most of its because were listening to it on a computer and they probably didnt use a very good recorder. I know for a fact they come with Dimebucker pick ups, which are suppose to be pretty bad ass.
you cant tune it into drop d because there are locks on the knobs so when you use the tremolo system it doesnt untune if u want to tune it to drop d you have to take off the tremolo system and reconnect the strings with the bridge and the neck
@SuperMetallicaPro do you know if all DB Deans are like that because I like to tune into alternate down tunings it would get kind of boring for me to play in just E standard
@SuperMetallicaPro um what you can tune it to drop d all day long gets harder to do it on the fly but it can and is done by me all the time please read what u say before you wright and do research
@rainbowchickenfish emg's are garbage, they most probably play this thing through one of their dean amps which arnt the best amps. try finding one and play it through a good amp and i can almost guarantee you wet your pants from the tone.
@rainbowchickenfish and dude emgs are the definition of tribally seymour duncans are not tribally at all. seymour duncan make the greatest pickups ever. personal opinion of course but i fucking hate emg they make the shitest pickups ever
@TheMetalhead804 emgs are trebly but with a nice punch to it. duncans are trebly and have a nice warm feel to it but the sound is too loose. whereas dimarzios are not as trebly, have nice subtle warmness to it and has a very shaped sound. well the x2n does anyway
@rainbowchickenfish not necessarily dude blackouts are active pickups and they are ten times better than emg they sound more like a passive pickup. you most probably tried the moderate output pickups like the 59 and jazz but seymour duncan have some really high output pickups like the blackouts, JB, invader, distortion, live wire (DM sig) and tones more the blackouts mick thomson set are the highest output pickups on the market.
@TheMetalhead804 i have heard blackouts and the invader and those are the only seymour duncans that have the tone i like. not a big fan of slipknot so im not gonna go for the mick thompson set. the main difference between blackouts, emgs and the dimarzio x2n i have is that the x2n is a passive pickup so i dont have to change the battery but still has the punch of an active pickup. same goes for the d activators
@rainbowchickenfish ya man the x2n dimarzios are sick pickups i love them but same for the invaders i havnt tried them out before yet but ive heard they are very high output passive pickups. i would recommend the blackouts to anybody even to someone who hates even just hearing the word active pickups but they are great. i like the x2n especially for its output and for fact that it doesnt require a battery.
@TheMetalhead804 Dude I got an SD bridge Invader a few months ago, I fell in love with it. The tone I get from it is fucking amazing and the punch is even better. It is a bit trebly, but I play in a death metal and a thrash metal band so the more the merrier. Its an excellent passive pickup indeed. For actives I would get blackouts or live wires. I've only heard about blackouts so they might not be that good. But I've played a Dean Mustaine signature Angel of Deth and it sounded incredible.
@RockForce131 awesome dude SD rule! they make the greatest pickups ever. id like to try the invader but sadly MOST people who put the invader in their guitars are a7x fan boys and everyone is going to call me an a7x fanboy cuz id like to put it in the bridge pickup of my schecter pt fastback and maybe a 59 in the neck or a jazz. do you have a page i can check your band out at?
@TheMetalhead804 Who cares what people think man? If they made a shitty pickup but for some reason Chris Brodrick used it would you just because it was cool? Wow I sound like my dad, anyway, just don't worry about it, its worth it trust me. Especially in your Schecter its going to sound kick ass. We're still trying to find our sound so until then, whenever it may be, I dont have any vids of my band.
I like the look of this guitar and I like Dimebag's sound, but I don't like the sound of the guitar in this demo. The mids are too scooped for me. If you want a huge sound, you have to get as many frequencies as possible coming from the speaker, and that includes the mids.
@rockadio1992 not the paint job. The paint job was made by a guitar player from Trivium (I'm not sure but almost positive). I know he designed the thing but still. They could just say it's the razorback and there. I doubt Dimebag would use a guitar with this paintjob. Also, they put Dime on the razorback Vs. He didn't design the razorback V. In fact, the razorback V came after his death when the same guitar player of trivium joined Dean. Yet, they still write DIME on the headstock.
@dimeowns100 you told yourself that. GG. I know it was but so what? It shouldn't be considered a Dime signature. It wasn't his signature guitar. It was the guy from Trivium. Well he played the V with skulls and they passed to the razorback shape but Dime didn't play it. It's like making a Dave Mustaine V that has nothing to do with what Dave would play. Just because it has the shape, it shouldn't say Dime. Just Razorback. That's the name of the shape.
@MegaDarth666 the guy from trivium did not design the paint job. and on dimes drawings of the razorback he also drew the razorback v. if you look at the original drawings it shows the razorback v.
@mrcombichrist4life Are you sure about the V thing? Cause I've heard they made it the V after Dime's death. Anyway, I still think this wouldn't be a guitar Dime would pick up. Some razorbacks yeah I think he might, this one, no way.
screw the 255 razorback v im so getting this thing. its a shame they discontinued the usa razorback v skulls though. man that was a beautiful guitar i dont care if its discontinued its still my dream guitar, dean please start making the usa razorback v skulls again please. great job on this one by the way i cant wait to get one. how much is it?
