the first time i saw lagiacrus (when you go on a fishing quest to get monster guts and he appears - single player) I thought he was inpossible to kill but then when i faced him with good armor and good weopons, I owned him. Thumbs up if you think lagiacrus is easy!

@SasukeNoob1 If you break a body part, then you will get about 1-2 extra reward items. So, if you break a horn, you have a chance of getting a horn in the rewards section. It's pretty simple. Now, if you break the back and the horns, you get even more rewards!!!!! Woah!!!!!

How do you get that long sword??? I have the first one you unlock after beating gobul and can't upgrade it because the stuf needed are quests after the Lagiacrus quest... If I had that I could probably beat it pretty easy because I always run out of time fighting him...

When I was in your situation, I was using nearly maxed Gobul armor, and shadow saber+. It seemed as if it were the best weapon I could find for my armor and had the greatest sharpness at the time. It went pretty smoothly for me. If you are wondering how to make it, you need to beat the Giginox to do so.

i have a bolt axe with 765 attack and 150 pa element! i also have almost all ratian armor max. upgraded. but still this lagiacrus is difficult to beat. you know cha cha has run off in my game when does it come back

@mastershadow3001 im using red bludgeon and lagiacrus set all maxed out... lagi set is better than rathian set for this fight... red bludgeon is much better than Bolt Axe against the lagiacrus because of its fire element... you add up to 1086 attack with it

@XRezor you do know that the element does not add on to the attack power fully right? cant really explain it but thers quite a bit of math in this game to figure out how much damage a weapond oes do to sharpness or element. tho if the creature does hate the element it boosts it up a fuck load.

@mastershadow3001 The most useful weapon is subjective, use what you like; I can kill one with zero effort using a lance. Lagiacrus is weak to fire element, too. For a specific armor, use Barroth, as it gives lots of resistance to lightning.

Also, Cha-cha is a wuss, he'll come back eventually but he's really just there to keep the monster distracted.

@munglay i finally got to him and he killed cha cha in one hit i was nercous after that he was hard as crap on land then when he got into the water i got screwed i use a hammer i think its the luderoth hammer and has 575 attack and i have attack jewels and defense all around and level 4 armor

@mastershadow3001 Well i killed him with lance on my first try. Just be careful when he does the charging swim and hits u with his body. Dont let him shock u. If u have good armor that has good thunger resistance han use it, i recommend lagiacrus or barroth armor. I love using lance, longsword, and SnS on Lagiacrus.

@mastershadow3001 in my experience lances usually work best in single player because you have aggro most of the time, any fire weapon is good against the laggy, in multiplayer it doesnt really matter any fire weapon goes, the most important thing is patience getting 1 good hit in is better than trying to get in a flurry of hits and getting stunned

just buy the knight lance and upgrade it

@mastershadow3001 when i get to it in village mode (im pretty close) ima use rathalos rmor (evern though its weak to thunder) and im going to use wyvern blade fire. if u want to do the same ur going to need to spend a lot of time in city mode. oh and bolt axe is terreble against the lagia

@mastershadow3001 i use gobulu muruka lance, and it work well :) the most important thing is to study how lagia moves. that way you can predict when to attack and dodge :) oh and btw 1 - 2 small attacks are better than no attacks so take your time and keep practicing :)

@mastershadow3001 He is weak against Fire. So use Fire Element. I recoment using SnS, cause its fast and you can dodge pretty much every attack

Also it makes easier if you bring traps or flash bobs with you.

About Cha-Cha.. He will be gone for couple of MH days, until you complete some of the Key Quests.. He's Exploring the Sea, and will bring you some info about a new Monster.

@brawlforfun lol... try harder. one thing about mh3 is to familiarise yourself to each and every monster's attack pattern and know exactly when to attack, when to pull out. timing is everything. if you get it right, even with a weak weapon, you can still bring down juggernauts

I killed Lagiacrus with real claw + (Ludroth set of sword and armor)...AND IT TOOK ME ALMOST 50 FRIKKIN MINUTES! :D But when I killed....I YELLED :3

hmm did you kno that by hitting multiple times with soul sword style you empower you longsword for a set period of time... white and yellow glow last for very long time but they are not as strong as the strongest powerups...

Was just thinking cause you canceled the spirit sword attack all the time, you might not know it... yes, its annoying how long it takes to get back to hacking after the last soul sword hit but little more attack power is always welcome..

yup u need to beat rathlos first in order to get wyvern blade, i was lucky enough that i had the items i needed in 1 rathalos kill:P

when in the water you want to aim for his head (to get the lagi horns) and to destroy his chest and once he has gone onto the land, that is when you need to chop his tail off :P Cha-cha is basically no help towards killing it, just take him along as a distraction and a buff machine... trick is to killing lagi is to hit him in his weak spots with a FIRE element weapon... for those who cant get the wyvern blade yet a good option is the Peco flint - Charged shot to face few times will kill him

All the fights Ive fought against him he's mostly gone into 10 then onto land. There are few times he stays in water and few times where he goes back to 12
