if u remember the august fire i was up on union watching it with you guys and that was a pretty fun day. how close did you guys get? did you get to the fence? how about did you go to the november fire down by horsthief mountain. i saw some pics of a guy that saw helitanker 703.pretty good shots. hassayampa was better though.
He said 1,000 GALLONS, which is over 8,000 pounds so yeah, you can feel it. The pilot has to actually raise the collective as the tank is filling to adjust for the weight of the incoming water.
