I love the Enjoy England videos. A quibble: it's overdoing the Dracula silliness to miss the abbey's historic import to all English-speakers. There in 664 the English church settled on the Roman Catholic and not Ionian calendar, structure, and liturgy. Image if England's religious heritage and its influence on its later global possessions followed instead a more Eastern Orthodox sensibility. Also, the monk Cædmon (d.680) wrote there, the first known English poet--"father of English Sacred Song."
