  • In the USA, shipping containers are inspected by CBP officers 5% of the time.

  • did he say that ship had a crew of 2200 people?

  • Hehe, seamen.

  • ali9415 I think you just watched this on TV and decided the ship was named "OOCL." Unfortunately, this is the name of the ship owner, Orient Oversees Container Line.

  • Best documentary I have ever seen..............Best among the bests............I really love it.

  • Why do they make a video about this dinky toy container ship that can "only" carry 8,063containers. The Danish Maersk ships can carry 14.770 Containers! And they are 75 Meters longer then this baby as well. Reaching almost 400 Meters! Maersk is now getting ships that can carry 18.000 Containers. Far over 2 times what this thing can carry. Only ports in Europe and China can handle these new Master Ships!

  • @EuroSon99 Many American cities are right now expanding and deepening their ports to handle these new larger container ships you speak of. However, the Danish knew that or they wouldn't have built them in the first place. It wouldn't make sense to build ships that are too big to fit in American ports when America is the biggest importer in the world.

  • @EuroSon99 Grats, you ship more useless junk than anyone.

  • @EuroSon99 Probably because the company didn't let them film it?

  • i want a job on a ship like this help

  • @peted1969 go to the docks, ask around lol

  • i want a job on a ship like this help how do i get a job

  • somalia pirates will love this...

  • one thing i've never understood is why they never seem to secure the containers to the ship, with tiedown straps or anything.

  • you can download the full video with torrentz to know the reason .. it is said that they use sea water to balance her in overcast clouds!

  • each container is held down with twistlocks and the outer ones are lashed down but only the first two tiers.

  • @danthesmiler

Outer rows to be lashed up to three tiers with so called "long bars". Other rows up first two tiers.

  • @keonisan im not too sure but i dont think a tiedown strap would be able to hold a 20 tonne container anyway so why bother?

  • Thats because containers have on the top and bottom in each four corners these locking pins that lock them together kinda like when you stack legos on top of each other.

  • they are secure with twistlocks on the corners thougth the first and second containers on the row are always secure with a sort of tiedowns

  • @keonisan Each one is attached to the one below.

  • i now know that emma maersk is larger than this one.. saw it over at discovery channel.. and emma maersk is new compared to this one..

  • hard starboard!!! damn! wish to work on this ship.. dunno if which is larger, maersk emma or this one?

  • Emma Maersk is bigger.

  • emma maersk
