CHECK IT OUT. It is a new blog that I have been working on to get up and running, so follow it as it grows. Any suggestions would be much apprieciated.
My mate who I ride with has a new stumpy and really doesn't like it at all. We all ride Orange's and he wishes he hadn't spunk 2k on this. I think it's a good bike but I don't have to live with it. Moral of the tail is buy Orange and you'll always have a smile!
I'm really enjoying my Hardrock sport 29d. I think they've got a nice product line all around, having pedaled a Rockhopper during a class and on a trail, I think they turn out some of the best (quality) riding bikes of any I've had my tail on.
I've just put a set of Roval Traverse EL on my 2011 Stumpy FSR Elite,I would now say that instead of climbing the bike just literally take off !! And when it comes down it feels like on tracks. Specialized are fantastic bikes. I will be soon moving from Italy to San Francisco and my dream is to work in a Specialized store !!!!
I have a Stumpjumper pro Carbon for 6 months. After a minor fell last month, the frame broke into half. After Salt Lake city's check, they told me it is because the way I carry bike is not recommended. That is lame. So fragile.
Hey i need some information i live near miami,fl and i want to buy a specialized stumpjumper fsr but i dont know where to find it please help me quick thank you.
why does these bikes cost as much as a dirtbike that has a motor i just dont understand i can buy a nice new dirtbike for 3000-5000 and it has a motor
@themegajosh09 That's true, and there's a lot of guys around here that love moto as well as cycling. It's all about your chosen passions and what you want to spend on them. As with any product the technology and materials are what makes it expensive. The cool thing is a lot of similar technology is put to use throughout our bikes, even those that cost $1500 or less, like the FSR XC, Pitch, or SX.
@specialized411 the reason motorbikes and cars are so much cheeper then mountain bikes is because so many are made, millions of cars a made every week and thousands of motorbikes a bought everyday but the mtb market is way smaller, which makes each individual bike cost more. i prefer mtb to motocross, i find motorbikes too clumsy and heavy.
@themegajosh09 I know your fat, drunk, redneck ass probably won't be able to comprehend this, but some people actually enjoy exercise and would rather not destroy the environment on a loud, smelly dirt bike. Now get yourself another Busch Light and go watch some more NASCAR.
@mcgnarpoon first off im not a redneck at all second i hate nascar.... its just so sad for you to feel good about yourself you have to put down other people i feel bad for you ): it is people like you who truly ruin the world. you are the type of person who need prayed for and that i will do(:
@mcgnarpoon i just don't see where you are getting that i am country... i'm on the technology team at church if i were country i would not enjoy work with technology nor would i be on the computer now(:
@perthgloryboy im not married. but that is exactly my point perthgloryboy, all wemon can have babies. and they have the same body parts. some just look different than others. also they all have blood and skin and a brain. and they all also have a heart. no matter what type of women they are.
@themegajosh09~ its not that hard to understand!... just look at all the hardcore tech and engineering of these bikes!
The Carbon bikes (which are like $5000) are just a waste of money though. U get the exact same bike made out of Alum for like half the price. And they're weaker aswell!
am after some information....i have a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR XC but unsure what model year...how do i find out the model year as i need to order a new bottom bracket for it...PLZ HELP
@ChUnK952751 There's a couple ways. We have a bike archive that shows all our previous models by year. You could browse through there and find your bike. Or you could swing by your local Specialized dealer. They'll be able to tell you in a heart beat what year your bike is as well as get you the right bottom bracket.
slick bike... to anyone looking for a new bike. check them ALL OUT shop around! Try out as many as you can. dont be afraid to ask as many questions as poss. Not all bike fit everyone.
We need more promotionnal videos of the bikes in outdoor settings + tech components focused videos like the RockNRoad one. But that was good! Thanks a lot.
Good stuff, the stumpy looks a lot better the this and last years one. Are we doing to get similar videos for specialzied's downhill and freeride bike range?

P.S. I suggest ergonomic handgrips for the high end bikes.
