my god, how can this camera be sOO GOOD?? do you know where I can get a deal on it? It would be amazing for shooting actual documentaries.

unless you get a crap load of memory cards i wouldnt count on documentaries, especially on 1080i it eats though them crazy.
I'm saving up for mine now, tis a strain on the wallet though :-\

It doesn't shoot 1080i. It's shoots 1080p
And you can shoot one hour on a 16 GB card
Because it records in H264 quicktime.

the video shows what the camera is capable of, but the content just sucks, my god, I didn't know bands like that existed :) of course, its a question of taste....
