I think deleting this scene made it more powerful when Ford was shot, increasing the feeling that the whole world was against him and staying focused on him instead of the plight of a new character.

@SlingBlade79 there are 2 reasons they delete scenes. htey dont feel it fits in with whats happening at the time. like hte feel of the previous scenes. or 2:the movie is taking too long and they feel the viewers won't miss anything. so prettey much the deletes scenes dont have thigns in them so if u dont see them ur not confused

I hope an extended version is released because I was a background performer and most of the scenes I was featured in were cut. It just occurred to me that they were cut BECAUSE I was featured. Guess I'll never make a breakthrough into acting as I'd hoped. HA! Good performances by Affleck and Pitt. Good soundtrack.

I am so happy to see that someone found this! What a shame that this got edited out and so many other bad scenes were left in. Meredith Henderson is a great actress. They should do a DVD with deleted scenes.
