@08budokai80 he's got a book that is HUGELY exhaustive; it explains everything you need to know. I (the creator of this video, now on a different account) learned everything I know from it. It's the most valuable resource you could get to improve your flourishing. Jerry has dvds expounding upon the moves described in his book, but I don't think they're entirely necessary.
@backpocketfoundation cheers, but how much is hudgely expensive? is it a big book? do you know where to get it? also i am very impressed with your fans.
@08budokai80 lol I meant hugely exhaustive in that it covers almost every area of manipulation extremely thoroughly. the book is 545 pages long, $75 + shipping and handling, and you can get it from flourishman . com :) and thanks! it could very well be the only card resource you will ever need, because it gives you all the tools so that you can start creating your own moves.
that is the right handed indicies fan. if you do the normal indicies fan with the right hand it ends up blank like a reverse fan. jerry cestkowski describes it in "the encyclopedia of playing card flourishes"
Yeah, I don't use fanning powder anymore, but it takes more skill. If you're learning to fan, use powder. If you're an old card veteran, going without it for a little while will help you in the respect that you'll gain a greater understanding for the feel of the cards.
I just have a little idea for you. What if you did the huge double fan. But instead of waving them togheter at the end. You could do a waterfall shuffle. Looks even better. But really OUTSTANDING! congratulations.
Just so you guys know, this was taken some time ago...
I plan on shooting a new video soon, showcasing my original concepts.
And fans too!
The fans in here are, for the most part, fairly well executed. However I have come to realize that the routining doesn't flow well and the overall movement is chunky.
I'm telling you, when you did that very first fan I was impressed. Then when you turned it roung and showed us the backs and that they were perfectly even my eyes nearly popped out of my head. The giant fan was superhumanly incredible. I know that only the most perfect fans stand up when seen from the back - yours blew me away.
I need to learn this

No, not De'vo. Fans definately aren't his forte. Not because he's bad, he just doesn't use powder.
I learned from Jerry Cestkowski's Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes.
Malakaneekeenizzle 4 years ago
is fanning powder worth buying...does it make a difference?

It most certaintly it, and it most certaintly does!

so do you just like put them on your cards?

You can also go into a bridging/perching routine from that position.
There are many posibilities.
Malakaneekeenizzle 4 years ago
I know but sinds what you did for the rest. I think waterfall shuffle would be great. But it's your choice. I just looked fun for me.
Really good job it's amazing
