u kno its funny i never saw this pilot episode... but i did read about CJ was supposed to be there son and Calvin never exised. But personally i like it the way it is.... with CJ as the nephew and i like calvin character. I lthink if the show would've stayed this way it wouldve been boring. Calvin character was perfect to for Curtis' son

@7swaggerking Here's what happened: When the show was ORINGINALLY created, Curtis & Ella were CJ's parents, and Calvin wasn't even it the show at all. Then, the plot was changed. CJ became their nephew, and the character Calvin was created as the son of Curtis & Ella.

Guys, this is a pilot. They did these episodes so TBS or whatever could get them the real show. I liked the idea of CJ being his son! Calvin was good as his son, but I like CJ as the son more. But hey, without Calvin we wouldn't have the best #VolunteerFireFighter xD.
