what i think many people dont understand is that the tradition that the Cubans are passing along is how it was taught to to their ancestors hundreds of years ago with a mix of spanish enfluence so it was practicable , were as the yoruba language in Nigeria has been enfluence by christianity and islams and many words have changed over the years the language has evolved !

I saw them perform once but they really need to sing the songs right. It took me a while to know that they were actually singing in a language that I understand and speak fluently. They just butchered it.
