  • This is an excellent version of this song...typically John Lennon. This song was written by Phil Spector and recorded firstly by The Teddy Bears in 1958. The Beatles were performing this song back in 1960/1 in clubs in and around Liverpool and also in The Star Club, Hamburg...where a recording was made of one of their live performances that included this song...and which was released on a Double Vinyl LP years later.....John Lennon...greatly missed......Regards...Dave
