  • As a professional event greener, this astounds me. I see in the comments a lot of "People get paid to clean it up, why make a fuss?" My answer is, "Because I'm a zero-waster, not a f*cking janitor." I can't compost or recycle stuff that doesn't get back to my Dumpsters and if I spend the budget getting things to the Dumpsters I can't compost or recycle them. Anyone who thinks that this festie was a success just needs to look at the waste to see the truth.

  • Pemberton was awesome!~ it was a cluster from the word go... why you would post a video about the left over garbage is beyond me. The city made a small fortune selling us alot of that "garbage". I think Live Nation made a deal to clean it up, eh? If not, then thats Pembertons bad..

I was very impressed by the efforts of some Canadians that picked up every cigarette butt on the ground during the festival. :)

  • All these punks need spelling lessons. And clearly the video's commentary is directed as much to the festival's producers as it is to the helpless garbage dwellers.

  • Lol,

    "Awesome, Thanks alot you guys."

  • Well...it was no doubt a great party....and I would have expected a bit of cleaning after..but the question is...will there be another? Some of the attitudes would make one say .."no.".which is really too bad.

  • This guy is going off about the garbage but who even gives a shit. 1 garbage can for 5000 people? come on. Thats total bull. This festival was 100% a success... tell me why garbage even matters when they send a crew in to clean it up later anyways.

  • @tyrelri It took 3 weeks to clean it all up. I live here. It was terrible.

  • Hey there's my site! I didn't leave that much garbage... but I did steal a garbage picker-uper on my way out. I'm sure one ticket single handedly paid for the entire cleanup crew, so it's all good.

  • i was camping there n true it was so dirty when i left but yea i put all my garbage into bags n so did everyone else n we just left our bags tehre but i mean out of respect ppl should have cleaned up after themselves better, although if you were like me still drunk from being there thursday coming home mon morn you wanted to die haha

  • LOL I can see my site!!! We left at least 4 or 5 tents and 100s of empties!

  • my pleasure!!

  • Yah but you know what it was there garbage so they should pick it up and be less of a pig.. oh and its pemby not pembo.. alrighty

  • Admit it!! You are bitter cause you are the last one out the door.

The shows were awesome, people had a great time, and the city of Pembo made a killing.

After they get paid to clean this up, then what are you complaining about?

You were certainly one of the few canucks in the mosh pit saying "can't we all just be calm and not push so much?"

  • Yes, I saw one great man literally pick up individual cig butts.... hats off to him. Otherwise, provide basic amenities to people that asked for just BASICS!! and maybe, just maybe, you would have a few less trash piles and for that matter, a few less shit piles since the Honey buckets were a freakin disaster, too!~And the only reason you are still there to video tape this is because you couldn't get on one of the busses the night before!~

  • Are you kidding?

The people that put this together did nothing but take the cash and run!

The one customer service booth had people that could do nothing but hand out "guides to the festival" which simply ended up as more trash.

To blame us for leaving a mess is beyond stupid. And what are you thanking us for? For paying hundreds of dollars for an event that provided little to nothing of what it promised?

  • haha i knew it was gonna be a dump after, what do you expect with drunk young people

  • Haaa haaaaa I think I saw my tent ... the funny part is I took a piss in it before i left lmao !!!

  • funny... rothbury looked like the complete opposite of this.

  • LOL

    well it was fucking fun

i dont give a shit about the garbage

if thre getting paid to clean it up

they shouldent complain if there getting paid

and if they volounteered then that was there choice

  • The goodness of live music magic, combined with the dollars it brought to this beautiful town is worth the big clean up.

The promoter did sell the idea of greening the festival (which was bullshit-no effort made at all)and next year they should actually it because thats how most Pemby folk live-GREEN!

Better promotion of Valley food and artists too.

Great fest though I appreciate this video but lets make it work get involved and do it! Dont diss live music.

  • I AGREE ...7 Dollar Beers 10 Dollar Burgers And 4 Dollar Pops Should DEFINETLY Pay For Proper Cleanup ...Which Is The Organizers Responsibilty

  • boo hoo what did you expect ? 7 dollar beers will pay for ppl to clean that shit up

  • I was there at the very end and I too was disgusted about by the amount of garbage. BUT the people that we camped with and around were all very responsible about their trash. There were huge dumpsters next to every row of potties and it would take a few seconds to dispose of the trash - some people don't know how to clean up after themselves. Also, if the festival itself promoted resp. camping (recycling depots in the actual festival grounds) this probably wouldn't be so bad.

  • I bet all those folks who did clean up, found some dollars, cell phone, cameras, sweet ass tents ... damn, I'd be happy to help clean up after the big party thats for sure! next year - bring it on :-)

  • no doubt!

  • i agree with wolfcruise, and i think it would have been hilarious helping to clean up after... the shit that you would find :)
