I've used both and they both suck, they are good when you get them but after a month they both start to lag, shut off if you send a receive a text around the same time, sometimes the neon doesn't have a dial tone

The thing about the Neon is if you read the comments on AT&T.com everyone says it brakes really easily. But i think the neon has a better design then the Rival. But i like that when you switch through tabs the icons get all gooey. I also like that the Rival has the cool smiley key. Kinda like how the Pantech Prusuit has the .COM button. I think it is a tie...

The rival is very glitchy, the touch sensitive "dots" go beserk when I go to type a text message. The photo auto adjust for the wall paper is terrible. The phone is quite slow at loading even pictures.

I had the motorola Kraze Zn4 then i knocked it into the sink and verizon said they were gonna send a comparable phone to it and got the rival... it isnt and thing close to my Krave its so much smaller and not touch screen except the dial pad

Dont get the motorola rival! I've had it for about four weeks now and its given me a lot of problems.like it would just randomly reset itself and the phone would lock up and i would have to take out the battery and put to back in for it to work again! and i like the keyboard better on the rival then the neon(my friend has the neon) my friend has had it for about 2 wekks and it hasnt given him any problems so i would go with the neon..but then again at&t sucks ass
