It's stuff like this that makes me sure that using microwave radiation to make plasma rifles is a completely viable alternative to propelling metal with small, fingernail-sized explosives launched from a metal platform. Especially because plasma appears to be electrically conductive enough to seek out metal 'targets' but is still sort of following the microwave's 'path.' I do have Idea of what I'm talking about. I've been exposed for a couple of hours to the light produced by plasma, and I got a new tan, more like a sunburn. (I was wearing goggles luckily)

When an electric current crosses a gas, the gas becomes plasma, and emits light which happens to be the whole electromagnetic spectrum! Radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible, UV, x-rays and gamma. Plasma is really one of the few things that emit all of it. Anyone into TIG/MIG soldering should know.

Plasmas do not produce those rays because they are only caused by radioactive decay. X rays are a different story on how they are produced. Read about plasmas a bit hun, you may learn something
