But they also spent over $6 billion in fiscal 2009 alone on TV advertising. They spend billions advertising directly to doctors. The best choice for American health care is the single payer system. I can support a public option if congress passes it. The problem is that congress will not support it financially. Republicans will do all they can to kill the public option if and when it does start by limiting access to it and underfunding the program. Then those same republicans will turn around and say "see we said the public option would fail". Single payer system for the US. Then we can solve problems without easy answers

Since America's economy is capitalization on everything (that's what made America rich) it is hard to nationalise anything. America needs a more dynamic health care plan, since it can't copy the European 'free healthcare by the state' plan. People are outraged when hearing that they will have to pay more taxes if healthcare becomes free, BUT they still want a major healthcare reform. Making a plan would need economical, socologic and political geniuses.

The best choice for American health care is the single payer system. I can support a public option if congress passes it. The problem is that congress will not support it financially. Republicans will do all they can to kill the public option if and when it does start by limiting access to it and underfunding the program. Then those same republicans will turn around and say "see we said the public option would fail". Single payer system for the US. Then we can solve problems without easy answers

Actually, you'd be wrong in your assumption that the gov't option pay's for itself. What it does is it levies a unconstitutional surcharge tax against citizens in a partial payment for the overall HRA. Other payments come from over 400 Billion taken from seniors Medicare programs. How can private insurers compete with the gov't ability to levy unlawful taxes or print money or not balance the nations budget? You'll be getting a reply whether you like it or not.. so enjoy!

It's called and excise tax and those citizens who make under $250k/yr. that are uninsured are going to be hit with a new tax that's totally unconstitutional.
