  • a good performance, restrained in the right way. Be careful on your consonants so as not to bring in phantom vowels. E.g. the word "ein" make sure there's no "e" or "a" after the "n"

  • @8497289 Thanks for the advice. Singing in german is sure not easy. I have to improve my pronunciation and I'm working on it.

  • @forwardge74 one thing that really helps me is to maintain the subglottic pressure so that announciating the consonants doesn't require more effort from the diaphragm. German consonants are fricative, meaning they are sharp and abrupt rather than fluid like english ones. this in turn helps keeping the connection between the abdomen, throat and mouth. Also, let your tongue and mouth form the consonants and relax your lips a little more, that should make it easier

  • I see a focus and a sincerity that a lot of professional singers would envy. Nice pianist too!

  • @MVerbesserung Such a wonderful compliment! Thanks a lot.

  • Great preformance. I love your use of vibrato.

  • Hi! For an amateur performance I think this is really good. I study Schubert too so I know how hard it is. It is a very difficult Lied and you sing it well. If you work on your pronunciation a bit more, and try to add some more dynamics and expression, it's gonna be even better.

  • Hello! I love Schubert too. I just wanted to go to bed and there I have discovered in the YT you. You sing very emotionally, movingly. Today the perfection destroys the emotion, sings so further, so you touch the hearts. Your German is very good, and you have understood everything the poet will say..

Many thanks and all the best in the new year.

Sorry, my English is not perfect, it is a google-english. Eugene

  • you sang this song exactly how Schubert would have wanted it sung - with great dignity and emotion. this particular song cycle is impossible for me to listen to without tears flowing - it is tremendously emotional, and i was so happy to have heard and seen you sing it with such emotion. never stop singing - never reduce your emotion.

  • Thanks for the support. I love Schubert's Lieder. According to me, they are some of the most profound human expressions and they deeply echo inside me. I'll never stop exploring this tremendous universe. I know you read me. Thanks again.

  • wow dein akzent ist gar nicht so übel ,was.

Also du hättest keine probleme deutsch zu lernen.

  • This is so beautiful! I was intensely touched to see you connecting so deeply with this repertoire. This performance is "amateur" in the best sense of the word - clearly done out of love. Technique can be taught, but the desire to be vulnerable in the face this music cannot. Thanks!

  • You're paying me a very nice compliment! If I can touch one soul, I'm the happiest guy in the world! I agree with you about technique and interpretation. So many singers, even professional ones, hold a perfect technique, but desperately lack sensitiveness in their rendition. Singing is about communication with the audience, emotional communication. And in this wondrous repertoire, you have to show a bit of your deep soul.

  • Bravo...:) biz

  • Very nice, great voice!!!

  • Thank you!!! I'm still working hard to improve it. I think I'll be working on it my life long!

  • Sehr gut!!!

  • Magnifique, Féérique.

    Merci Sisouk.
