The reason why this is important - and the reason people should care - is that you're giving your money to some hack asshole and not the guys that actually made the game. If the people who made the game don't get paid, games don't get made. It's really as simple as that. If you're going to go through the trouble to buy the game, at least make sure it goes to the people who made it.

Lets get this out of the way:

1. Pirated games work offline ONLY. If its modded it will not work on Xbox Live.

2. Pirated games work the SAME as original, however some may have malfunctions near the future.

3. Mod chips are illegal, so it's like asking somebody where to buy weed. Look for yourself

4. Pirated games WILL NOT work on a non-modded console, and vise-versa.

5. You can get pirated discs from your local street market, (downtown) or make them yourself (watch tutorials, there are many)

well actually you are wrong on some of these.

1st. pirated games will work on xbox live as long as you keep your system updated with the newest firmware. I've been playing online with no problems for over 3 years.

2nd. Some of my games are about 3 years old and they still play great. just take care of them.

I use my pirated cds and play online on xbox live 5 hours everyday................(I payed for Gold membership too)..but however since I got an update recently, it found our I use pirates and removed my mod!.......... :)

@Ladomendigo 1. True, you will get banned if you go on Xbox LIVE, so I use "backups" when I'm sure that I've signed out using the Xbox Guide

2. Not really, I backed up my Xbox LIVE Arcade Unplugges Disc Volume 1 (which was one of the first games out) and it still works, as of today

3. Mod chips/Flashed Drives are legal if you own only one copy of a game and if you do not pirate games, oh, and Rastas are allowed to smoke weed, so I'm allowed to use backups

4. Official games work...

Games having a purple colored back has nothing to do with it being pirated. I forgot what it meant. However, you're right about the xbox 360 logo on disks.

well you can tell if a game is original or not by the manual booklet. if the game is complete with manual booklet then it is real deal. most pirated versions do not have a manual booklet with it!

@Ladomendigo but everything in the guide of yours requires you to be able to have the game in front of you and open it up... if you are able to do that then im guessing you are also able to put it in your 360 to try it out... the only situation where youd be allowed to open the box up and check all that is if your buying the game at a store for 2nd handed and i doubt any stores would be stupid enough to scam
