they drop that woodgrain ring tht lets you flip instead of role & i want tht shit looks cool , it'll look especially cool because i got that shadow armour thts like a black ninja suit & i have the proper samurai sword that sword called laito , its like a normal sized version of this long samurai sword he's using ( his is called 'Uchigatana' ) . PROTIP: Dark Wood Grain ring not only lets you ninja flip, but effectively removes the weight status between 25% and 50%.

If you look at how you run in heavy armour while wearing dark wood grain ring, so long as you are 50% or under your equip burden, you will run as fast as if you had 25% or less equip burden.

@Brcnosaur any but fire is epic.. you gonna need fire ember, which can be found from demon ruins.. and if you wanna upgrade more to +10fire you gonna need large fire ember which can be found from lost izalith

@Brcnosaur Magic upgrades from +5, you can use a weapon from +5 to +9, lol.

The option to revert the katana back to +5 is in the Modify Equipment menu on the furthest right tab.

ATTENTION PLEASE! When you see one of your phantoms going low on health , drink an etus . It will heal them and they won't die as easily. Remember , they can't heal themselves . I hate when im helping someone beat a boss and they don't heal me when i get hit

Also, Shiva Moves to Blight town after you reload your world after exhausting the dialogue with him in Darkroot upon joining the covenant. You must however speak to him in darkroot first in order for him (and the backflip ninja) to appear in Blight town. And if you break covenant in any way (join another or kill mushroom people et.c) before you go to Blight Town, he will never show up there. If you break covenant, he will be in Darkroot, and be hostile.

(Again Shiva is not the main target, it is the Ninja, but they stick together so you kinda have to kill him too, or run away i guess) If you have already killed him, I bet the washing pole is gone for the rest of the playthrough unless you can find it somewhere else in the game, and i don't know if you can. You could always kill the ninja, run away, and pay for your sins with souls to reset the covenant and rejoin tho i think.

To all wondering about the backflip: It is indeed a ring, and has nothing to do with stats. To get it you must: Get in to the forest covenant (talking cat) which will make a half invisible ninja spawn right by the cliff edge next to the ruin covenant ruin. He will not spawn until you join the covenant. You must also betray the forest covenant by killing said ninja since he is the NPC who drops the ring. Easiest to just kick him off the cliff and reload the world to find his loot where he was.

@caleberiel Not entirely true, the name of the npc(in the north american verison) is Shiva, he acts as a vendor for the Covenant as you prgoress in the game. Eventually he'll disappear from the Forest area and spawn at the bottom of Blighttown, at the bottom of the lift, where you can buy the ring and the eastern weapons he sells, including the Washing Blade that sans is using in the video. Not sure what triggers him moving though, might be getting forest pvp kills or maybe just game progression

@TheSleepyV You got the wrong NPC. Shiva is indeed a vendor for the covenant, however he sells another grain ring which is NOT the one who gives backflips. The ninja i'm talking about, who drops the backflip ring is transparent, and standing "behind-ish" shiva in darkroot garden, and later close to Shiva behind a wooden wall-thingy when he is in Blight town swamp. Ninja will not speak to you other than with "..." but Shiva will tell you about him if you spotted, and interacted with him.

@TheSleepyV If you can make him suicide off the cliff some how without it being YOUR fault, I suppose it would not break covenant. But if you shove him, it will be an act of betrayal. However, I assume that you can go to the book of the guilty NPC, and buy out your bad deeds, and re-join the covenant again when you are free of sin, and in that way both eat the cookie, and keep it. You would have to break and rejoin covenant though.

But this specific kind of roll is as a result of a ring, although you can roll very smoothly with very light armor, havels ring and mask of the father (both items increase your equip burden)

@rahimnfl it's the chaos blade... when you kill the quelaag dude it drops a soul and you use it with a +10 like ... utchikatana . and then it turns in to that. :) i think u use the utchikatana for it .... but you could also get the fury sword or w.e its called . and i think that's the better choice of the two. depends on build i guess. Go to one of the dark souls wiki's and find the item and it shoud tell u more on it :)

@XdarkxmonkX you can't. it's a different server system now, it is next to impossible to arrange a co-op partner. only by very slim luck will you and a specific potential co-op buddy to be on the same server, then u may have a shot. assuming the summoning works that is......i always get "summoning fail" and never found my friends.

You must join a certain covenant (the forest covenant if I remember correctly), and then kill a ninja npc...whatever that means I guess we will know what to do once when the time comes.

@justinlane22492 Alright mate I had trouble here too. Go down the elevator to the place where you fight the gargoyle. It looks like you have nowhere to go, right? Well, if you drop down to the left as you enter the gargoyle place, you can run up the seemingly unclimbable beam and reach the church. You can progress from there.

You can only get past the yellow door after you get the 'lordvessel' I for one have no idea what that is, but I'm loving the game so far.

@MikkiZHskDK Dunno about Invasion, but for Coop: After you defeat the Taurus Demon, you will go down a tower, two staircases, and end up on a bridge. To the right is a clearview and a dead end, to the left, a bridge with enemies. Go right, and down the stairs to the terrace. There will be a guy standing there. Talk to him, don't remember if you have to talk once or twice, but he gives you a summoning stone.

After that, you can join, or use the crystal to create, any coop game.
