You can get the first available ribbon when you go to the Temple of Ancients (it's in one of the treasure boxes when you first enter the temple).

Anyway, it doesn't matter. Found & obtained 3 Ribbons like 2 hours after you told me about it. Apparently you can get it in the battle stadium itself, but only the real hardcore players of FFVII are actually gonna get it. It takes a lot of fuckin battles before you can morph the proper enemy into a Ribbon.
