To me it is more heartfelt than the Left Banke's version but not many vocalists can top Levi Stubbs and the Four Tops for soulfulness (is that a word?).

A.) That's one heck of a head of hair on that girl B.) You may feel that this version is better than Left Banke, but it's their song, and its origin and creation is fascinating. Two minutes of brilliance.
