IMO, Black Carribeans in the UK have got to start working harder. Unfortunatly Black carribeans haven't had the best start when they came to the UK in the plight of poverty of racism and it still effects them gravely today. These young black men and women on the streets. Imagine if their parents set up the foundations and effort to get them into better schools and universities. I'm a true believer in the foundations of life starting at home.

I live in Oxford, and I'm very annoyed that David Cameron has that opinion of our University. I'm fairly certain that if someone that wasn't white wanted to get into Oxford university and they had the right qualifications, they would, wouldn't they? Race should NOT come into it, everyone should get in, just as long as you have the right marks and you're there to study something you're passionate about.

@ChelsEngland Believe me, my mates brother got straight A*s in his A-Levels in Physics, Maths mechanics, Biology and Chemistry and straight A*s in his GCSEs and they rejected him. He's is Asian by the way.

@MinutemanUK interbreeding doesn't cause stupidity. Genetics may play a factor but so does envrionment & your education. Many black & white students go to poor schools & that doesn't help people.

If your from a poor background, you can be highly able but a rich, less clever can overtake you in education tests by age 5.

It just so happens that there are more black people who are poor.

@prigg88 what do u mean genetics? African raised students who migrate to western countries are academically astute compared to western raised blacks. Anyway, I dont for once believe that discrimination /racism had anythin 2 do with this.

@afroguard African raised students have usually seen real hardship & they see Britain as a beacon to a better life. They usually have more motivation to succeed than western raised blacks.

re: genetics - was responding to @minutemanuk who seemed to think the interbreeding of blacks cause stupidity which it clearly doesn't. Your DNA could suggest your not bright & you could pass it on to your kids etc.

@afroguard was also trying to refute that claim by using evidence from a government paper which says that if you are a rich child but not very bright, at the age of 5 you could overtake a more gifted child from a poor background. From what i believe, there are a lot of poor black people meaning they don't get the best education & can't get the grades etc. not because their stupid but that the education system is failing.
