I know that every note, phrase, and movement comes from their love for the music and commitment to sound. This courageous conviction shows in their coaching and playing. This is still one of my favorite performances of this incredible work.

I love the Cavani String Quartet and especially Annie Fullard. She is amazing at sectionals and master classes and I always learn a ton from her--she has so much energy and it is really admirable. I wouldn't say that she or Mari "squirm around to much." It shows how affected they are by the music, and it is a million times better than being boring by just sitting there without emotion or expression.

I have to admit the squirming around, especially by the two violinists, was very distracting. That said, this is a fine performance, and I will definitely be listening to this one again and again -- if not necessarily watching! Still, beautiful job, ladies. If only I could play nearly as well as Ms. Peckham! Thank you.
