  • Stop the EU - USA bickering. Most people are douches or tards, not just most people of a certain country. Get over it.

  • What the hell is a "Myspace"?

  • @Cujoh - a personal web page.

  • @MichaelTannock Yea I know, it was a joke about it being outdated.

  • As a Brit I'm embarrassed on behalf of other Brits who make negative generalisations about Americans. So what if a few of them don't get the humour?

  • fellow americans: We get it. but admit it about 90% of the people you encounter on a daily basis wouldnt.

  • Ffhhvc

  • Here's yet another American who likes Mitchell & Webb despite all the claims that my culture/anthropology/what-have-you precludes me from getting it. England has produced some great comedy. However, I'm not going to join in the slavish adoration of all things English because it's impossible for everything in a country to be brilliant. What would the great comedy make fun of if every English person walked around only saying insightfully witty things with perfect timing and delivery?

  • @booyalab 90% of the population stop the impeccable wit and timing between the hours of 5-6pm to give the writers a chance to get some material. It's part of our "God forbid we ever let any member of another country forget how incredibly eliteist we all are" law. Now if you'll excuse me I need to get back to my castle.

  • Luckily for the public, the identity killer was taken to Homeopathic AE after getting hit by a blue Ford Mondeo.

  • I think the reason most americans dont get it is because they dont really use much sarcasm in their comedy like we do

  • @GamerGuyM There are Americans who don't get it?! I thought I'd explained everything properly LAST time! * mutters angrily* How am I supposed to enlighten this country if they don't listen to me?! * grumble*

  • I'm an American and I get it all. I absolutely love Mitchell and Webb. Sad to see this particular page turn into an America bash session. Guess I'll just got enjoy some more of these two while the rest of you get off your high horse.

  • i hate the way many americans laugh raucously at anti-british jokes, but when there is an anti-american joke they pretend not to understand

  • 'morning sir'

  • That's plod for you

  • I'm from America and I love them. I watch all their stuff.

  • <- sweden & <3 mitchell and webb

  • call failed. damn

  • me from America, mitchell webb, I like well as...yes?

  • i am from sweden and i love mitchell and webb

  • @ETFilmProduction I'm from The north pole and i like mitchell and web...

  • Has anyone actually called the killers mobile number? lol

  • Yeah I live in Wootton Bassett and it's incompitent police like these that make Swindon such a crap place.

Not like in Bassett where unicorns roam the streets giving rides to strangers....

  • cocknobs

  • "swindon"...typical... where i live.

  • I'm sorry, but if people don't 'get' Michell & Webb then they are obviously living in the wrong country. Something, which in this time of cheap mass transit, is their own stupid fault.

  • I would say that they are living in the wrong planet !! I'm not even from an anglophone country and I understood everything!!..... americans deffinitivelly don't seem to live in the same cultural, social or antropological level than the rest of humankind!

  • Sometimes I don't think most Americans even live on this planet.

  • well said

  • HEY! i am american and i completely understand the humour of Mitchell and Webb but of course i can't vouch for the rest of the US it is a dim culture we have.

  • Wow!, you would be the first.

  • @Aheadstix85 I'm from America, I love Mitchell and Webb. I think the main problem with a lot of Americans not getting the humor is the culture. There's a learning curve because you guys use different words for things and a lot of references you make to British culture is lost on a lot of people here. Also I think the dry sarcastic wit isn't as much a part of American culture is it over there.

  • I'm from the US too, and I love these guys :)

  • I'll 2nd that. Cheers from Ohio

  • @murci3lag0 Yes, yes - all us Americans deserve to die in a giant fire - I'm lighting it up right now... I'll jump in in a second.

You seriously think YouTube comments provide an accurate sampling of a country's cultural, social or anthropological knowledge? I worry for your country as well as my own, then.

Saddest part of the whole thing is... I thought the vid was hilarious.

  • @TheVikingElvis A.) I agree with you entirely, and B.) I always find it quite funny all the anti-American, as well as anti-British, sentiments that appear in the comments section of British skit show clips. The Internet, home of the next war between Britain and the US.

  • @murci3lag0 I'm an American and I've been enjoying the heck out of these all day. I would say it's true that most Americans have really poor taste since our #1 most popular show is "Dancing with the Stars," but that mess is a remake of a show you Brits made up, like most of that reality-TV drivel. So I guess we're on a pretty close cultural wavelength after all... ;-)

  • @murci3lag0 I'm an american, and I understand everything, but then again, I was raised by an english father!

  • @murci3lag0 Honey, if YOU were on the same anthropological level as some Americans I know, you wouldn't have dared to suggest cultural evolution as a means of grading societies. Frankly, I'm disappointed that you subscribe to such outdated, imperialistic theories--and you should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @murci3lag0 Hey, watch it! I'm a yank and I love Mitchell and Webb! Don't judge all Americans just because some of us are boneheads.

  • @murci3lag0 As an American who is a huge fan of many British television series, I resent that comment. My assumption would be that you've never even visited the US and are relying purely on popular media to stereotype all 300 million of us. I will not be told that I am intellectually inferior by somebody who, aside from spelling 'definitively' incorrectly, cannot even realise that the correct word is 'definitely'.

  • @glueyourfingers - whilst I disagree with him/her that Americans are in any way intellectually inferior, do bear in mind that murci3lag0 isn't a native speaker of English, and thus has done a pretty good job of writing the comment at all. The mistake with the word 'definitively' isn't a very good indicator of his/her intellect. Can you write flawlessly in another language?

  • @murci3lag0 i live in the U.S and i think Mitchell and Webb are hilarious but i guess i also like Monty Python and the it crowd so i cant be considered a average American that follows pop culture blindly..

  • Did anyone else notice that the policewoman has a moustache?

  • Is a MOB like a Social Security number?

  • it means mobile phone number

  • ah ha of course

    now feeling very stupid

  • We have a nation insurance number instead of social security ;-)

  • good. no offence-does england hav sociel security numbers?

  • we have national insurance numbers...

im not really sure what social security numbers are but it sounds like the wierdo american equivalent of what we have...

  • lmao, its the same thing that we have, but because its american, its just wierd

  • @bumfacefuck That's weird, it's a diphthong. The I before E stuff only works if it should have been spelt EE in the first place.

  • stands for mobile genius (as in mobile number)

  • I think you'll find that the term "mobile," meaning cell phone, has an almost exclusively UK usage. Furthermore it had 11 numbers separated into 5 and 6 digits, again a formation exclusive to the UK (or Europe). The meaning wasn't immediately obvious.

  • In New Zealand everybody says mobile

  • It's because you speak properly ;)

Although oddly do you call alloy's (as in car alloy's) Mag's?

  • To me an alloy is a mixture of metals... what's a car alloy?

  • I think they are what you would call 'rims' in the US. Expensive wheels that don't have plastic hub caps on them.

5 spoke 18" alloys for example...

  • I think it's an alloy used in cars.

  • alloy wheels, wheels made of mixed metal

  • mobile in ireland too

  • well its english

  • Not wanting to be a pendant but It was obvious to the country where the show was aired.

  • That term is predominant here in California, though I understand 'cell' is also common in the US.

  • maidenhead

are u from there?? or are you an iron maiden fan

either way your probably a sweaty hairy person(regardless of gender)

  • awesome =)

  • Mob. Ha ha!

  • Wonderful!

  • Lol Morning Sir

  • that was great! deffinatly some of the best modern comedians XD

  • aha.

i like how you try to sound all intelligent and then just stick a nice yobbo word on the end!

  • lulz.

wingedserpent is the tosspot. and what a try-hard name.

and you dont need evidence to justify a comedy disshit, u need that for say...history. is history and comedy the same thing?

  • what!?! theyre not swears... tosspot is someone who tosses alot or is known for tossing more than anything else, its just a vague, slightly humourus word to describe an idiot, like youself...

  • ok, a quick english lesson for the american;

to toss = to wank, to masturbate, to jack off or to jerk off. whichever you prefer...

and i guess you could toss a ball but it would take a long long time...

  • it's called comedy you dick!

  • ever heard of a spell checker?

  • It's CHEQUER you moran.

  • LOL epic LOL

  • "you moran" - oh i love life.

  • oh dear typo police are here:(

  • It was an obvious joke. Get over it.

  • i lolled irl at that one.

  • epic fail there eh...maidenhead...

    or hymen...

why would someone willingly call themselves "Hymen"??

  • Okay "Pat", clearly you've never heard of either satire or mockery. It was such an obvious joke that I can't decide whether or not you can actually read or write and instead just bashed your chinless head into the keyboard and formed words by coincidence.

"Maidenhead" is a place and a reference to Iron Maiden you absolute failure.

  • Proof that the internet is a place for seriousness...

  • lol...

    i live near maidenhead :'(

  • lmao

  • how thick can you get

  • just like the real police
