You probably just used a theme for leopard that works on tiger. You cannot use iTunes 6 on Leopard. There are also missing drivers for running it on a G3.

i can see what he did. he added that leopard theme to his menu bar and downloaded the leopard dock to trick all of us in thinking that his ibook was running leopard. he also changed the numbers on the "about this mac" in his system folder. reason i saw the menu bar was fake was because on my tiger tower upstairs, i used to have this software that would make tiger look leopard, and when you open a menu in the menu bar, the color looked more teal than the leopard color.

this isnt leopard because leopard has a dot underneath the app on the dock. Tiget has the triangle type

first of all 10.5 is LEOPARD.10.6 is SNOW LEOPARD.10.5 has the triangle

@TheHunter6690 Actually, 10.4 was the last version to use the "triangle" type application highlighter. Both 10.5 and 10.6 and now even 10.7 use the glowing "circle" to show which applications are open.

dont you need a a 700 mhz processor to run lepard it should run fine on that if you were add just a lil bit more ram to it

It might be possible, but with so many things that do not work and with the system very slow why would any one cram os 10.5 into a G3?

Even with all that I am ever so slightly tempted to install 10.5 on my iMac G3 700 mhz.

I always loved installing Liger on my old Beige G3 Macs, it's so much fun.... I used XpostFacto to install Tiger then installed the Liger theme. I would have believed this person if he had a BETA of leopard which still had G3 code, but i noticed the triangles on the dock. In Leopard, even if the dashboard is running or not, it doesn't say if it's active. Nice try though.

Target disk mode will work if your imac/ibook have a firewire port ... I cannot say if it will work, though, because I too think the G3 support was removed from leopard.
