Geeat job in the booots! You mentioned you made two pieces to make the boot. Can you explain how you got them to stick together? I have some really high platform shoes and I'm going to make the demon boots. But I am not sure how I am going to get my foot inside. Can you help me?
@nuni82 I laid the boot on one side and used a home made Vacuum forming machine that will melt plastic over the one side and then repeat on the other side then used epoxy glue and a small piece of fiberglass mesh from Micheale's craft store and bonded them together. Then let it sit for two or three days untill there hard then paint them with a Kryon plastic primer and then paint with Kryon silver paint and then hand paint the Black paint, also the eyes a Red plastic rivets also use 3 mm size.
You mentioned you had to modify the boot to look correct..did that not weaken the heel...I am currently looking to buy a new set of boots for my dragon shells and was thinking of using the same style of boot you used.
@kisspsycho8 Hi! No it didn't weaken the heel at all! If you check out my finished video forgive me it's sideways you can see that I left the sole in plcae it was never touched. I have maybe .25" inch from the bottom of the shell to the ground. the heel is very strong I have been all over Portland Oregon showing off my costume and had no no problems walking around.
@UFOFifty1 Also use a elastic cord that streches small and round you can buy it in silver. Then make several small holes under the spine of the heel of the shell and lace it like a shoe, But from bottom to top make shure your laces come out from the top on the inside then have someone tie it like a show for you.It will be difficult to do it your self in those boots. The elastic cord allows flexability when you walk. Will not be noticed be other people. Good Luck.
@spcmn77 On You-tube type in "Anthonyle247" thats his channel and its the first video to your top right. Anthony is also in the P90 exercise informercial towards the end and in the informecial you can see his Iron Man Mark 4 costume.
About 3-4 months after I posted this video. I did that very same thing. I had another person who I know he had seen the video and sugested that very same process so I took his advice and made a plaster molding of the boot shells and so on... This way I can keep makeing the shells if I ever broke one. Thank you for your advice!! If I didnt already do it I would take your advice and do it. :-)
