once again, i've come across a FPV video that is just AWESOME!!! the whole concept is amazing....costly, but amazing. I'm brushing up on my flying skills and working some overtime. i wanna get a FPV setup.....eventually. Thanks for the video. I saw this was posted in June 2009. are you still doing FPV flights?
I was thinking that I would go static mount cam with a wide angle lense but the more I see the head tilt cams, the more I like. I can see me turning my head to get a quick look and nothing happening unless I turn the whole plane...I am now thinking the extra expense will be worth the added viewing freedom. good to know the EG will support all this. TNX for the vid.
Man this is so cool! I was just wondering about your OSD-- is it possible to show mph instead of Km/h? also, can you disable the blinking on the distance-from-home readout? Thanks!
Do you plug the blackstork osd into the receiver when you hook it up. What channel do you plug it into. When you calibrate the osd do you use the rc transmitter. I have a 4 channel radio would i need a 6 channel radio for flying fpv with an osd.
Was just wandering what you use to record your videos. As i am planing on getting an fpv setup for the easyglider that i fly. Would a video camera work to hook up to the receiver to record the videos.
Hey great video. I was wondering what you used to rear mount the motor and where you bought it. I'm very interested in buying this plane but only if I can rear mount the motor thanks.
@SurvFilm So you must be mister perfect then? Never go higher then the posted speed limit? Never downloaded any music?
I'll have you know this equipment is not cheap, and learning to fly takes a long time. I've been flying RC planes for 13 years, and my FPV gear costs well over $1000. So if you dont like what we do, screw you, and watch something else.
I'm thinking of buiyng a FPV system that has a range of at least 500 meters. The catch is that I already have goggles made for iPod (Vuzix iWear) that can also show video with the AV (three cables) system. All I need is a pckage that has everything but the goggles. Do you have any ideia of what set shall I buy?
Thanks!
PS: It would be cool if I didn't have to pay over 250 euros for the set...

I have an Archos 500, the model is AV500, you can get them off Ebay for around $100 and they have 30 gigs worth of room.

I guess you "Yahoos" with your $50 video gear don't give a "Tinkers Damn" about LAWS, Regulations, and Safety of others. This is ILLEGAL in the USA.
These are the rules from FAA.
Read Number 4 very carefully. (2) Model Aircraft shall remain clear of clouds.
(5) Model Aircraft shall operate in close proximity to the ground, at or below
400 feet above ground level (AGL), and shall at all times remain below and well
clear of all manned aircraft. !

Cool! i just ordered the tx rx and the black stork the other day. is there also a "compass" display on it?
this also made me laugh: all of us who were flying for years on simulators will be now more at home flying with FPV than the regular pilot--haha.
