Who are the dancers in the this video. They are brilliant. I wish we could see this in modern day HipHop Videos again...The two guys are truley excellant. Please modern day HipHop artists bing back thesae "Moves" They are so exciting to see and watch over again. But they again it helps if you have a brilliant song like this from Schooly D - What a tune this is... Well done Schooly D
right back there to 85 and "gangster boogie"....schoolly-school the original gangster....followed his UK tours...even was an extra in "king of NY" movie...this guy still inspires me...real bare bones, stripped back beats....when I used to play DJ I dropped schooly and 5 people would go wild and the rest would stand there confused,it was just to real for them
Lol nothin beats Schooly... the original Tupac when ya think aboutr it... great flow but total actor... for those who wanna object check out disk two of the king of new dvd ;) back on the avenue...
epmd, eric b n rakim, east coast roots...member hip hop born on the east coast...people dont believe it, but its fact, might have been other palces, but was born on the east coast...then ez,nwa, etc made it nationwide...but i agree PE BDP STET RUN DMC..thats why no one knows of him, they werent fans back then, they just listen to whats sold now
@Jndfreaks No doubt. All the groups you mentioned. LOVE Schoolly D. But the youngsters have no knowledge of self and kind. Its sad. This album is amazing. I still have it on WAX. Got the vid on VHS....LOL
This brings back some serious memories. This was one of my favorite Schooly D hits. I remember at parties me and my friends used to do the dances at 3:35 and 3:56.
I seen this many times on MTV and It was a great song and I love anything from nightmare movie soundtrack I a trying fine some for my playlist I never had the sountrack the only one I have with songs is the freddys dead soundtrack so it great to fine good songs that was in these movies.
I'm a metalhead, but Schooly D is an awesome rapper, even if he does have no respect for rock. I love A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, severely underrated film and this song is underrated as well. Too bad it wasn't on the DVD Set, but you can get it on the Freddy's Nightmare box set.
some artists, arent bound by genre type. lyk, i love hiphop n reggae, bt also love 2 listen 2 red hot chillies. some ppl jus got sick musical talent. 1
I've been a schoolly d fan since 1994 Gucci time. i've never seen any of his videos until now. Thanks to you and others who download the videos that allow us to see these classics
I'm in shock to see this video. I don't recall it. If you have any others, please post! There has been nobody as good since. Perfect and unique Schoolly D is....
I have this single -- This has some of the best bass. Drop it in the Alpine, turn up the system, and loose some hearing. The intro always seemed to start at the wrong time, though.
Ice-T always gives credit to Schooly D. Both of them are pioneers. If it weren't for those two... well I shudder to think. Thanks for posting and thanks Schooly for the amazing music.
"The first record that came out along those lines was Schoolly D's "P.S.K." Then the syncopation of that rap was used by me when I made "Six In The Morning". The vocal delivery was the same: '...P.S.K. is makin' that green', '...six in the morning, police at my door'. When I heard that record I was like "Oh shit!" and call it a bite or what you will but I dug that record. I took that and wrote a record about guns, beating people down, and all that with "Six In The Morning" - Ice-T
Maybe the most underrated, underplayed old school rapper. "Am I Black Enough For You?" and "Smoke Some Kill" are serious classic albums. "Saturday Night" was nice, too.
Smoke some Kill was kinda wack "No More RocknRoll?" He'd already done that. Plus then he samples LEd Zep on the same album . "Welcome to AMerica" and 'Sat Nite' are the 2 biggies.

The reason why "nobody knows of him" is because a majority of now rap heads think the music began with Wu-Tang fuckin' Clan.
Schoolly, along with PE, BDP, and Ice.T ruled the late 80s and early 90s.
People need to learn their roots!!!!!!!!
