I haven't played the game (But I sure as hell want to), but the Wizard of Oz brand would be hard to sell as a game.

@sandkitten16 The Wizard of Oz is a fantastic movie. However, it is not something that could appeal to hard-core gamers.

I say this because the RPG market is usually for Hard-core gamers, due to the game's complexety. The Wizard of Oz is a BIG leap.

Even Kingdom Hearts was met with tons of skepticism.

@superskeetospro I can't belive that the game sold so bad. It was great. I myself own a copy and love every minute of gameplay.

The atmosphere, the music, the art and a great take on an old beloved strory. It's to bad something so nice have to be met with scepticism. I understand why it is hard to get this kind of game to sell well but I don't like it one bit. It just shows how narrow-minded some people can be.

At least I'm happy that so many comments here are possitive. It gives me hope.

@Rodoet001 I don't know this for certain, it could be many other reasons. If anything, this'll go into the wall of obscurity. X-P

This has happened to many games. A prime example is Chrono Trigger... Sorta. It has a huge following, but has only 2 games (released 10 years apart) and a remake.

This game has little chance at redemption, but if I can hunt down a copy, I will buy it in a heart beat.
