this is amazing... but what happens when the original hairline continues to receed? will the patient need to have hair transplant 'top ups' every 5 years or so to keep up with the hairline or something? do they need to stay on hair loss meds for the rest of their lives just incase? what generally happens here, when a young (20-35) person has a hair transplant? what do they do next?
@iamrichlol the only indication for hair transplant is stability. Stability is achieved either by age (over 40) or by medication (finasteride). We don't do procedures on patients with alopecia in development.
what about the area they extract the fue from? they should show that as well. i've seen horrible issues with such area after donation. horrible scarring? they show show that...
@meucuzinho Please search in our videos: "Can you shave your head after a HT by FUE technique?. Injertocapilar ". You will see the donor site after big FUE HT.
@injertocapilar I have to be honest though, the guy is still missing most of his hari in the temple area. The hair has grown, but the triangle looking shape is saved. That's already an indication that he's been bald before.
@Trinder3467 he will be bald for life. He has androgenetic alopecia. Surgery does not cure the disease, only conceals or attempts to restore what was lost and stop the evolution of AGA. Nothing else.
@injertocapilar So in other words, once the temple hair is lost it can never be restored. But the hair we see on this video will be there forever? What if his dihydrotestosterone level keeps rising, does it mean his tranplanted hair will be lost as well?
@Trinder3467 No, always depend on the stability of the patient's hair loss, age, medical treatment. In some we can restore the temples, but others will not be a priority. You're bald because you have no hair on top, not because of the size of your forehead. Alopecia does not depend on the amount of DHT, but the sensitivity of your hair for that DHT (remember that women with minimal amount of DHT may also suffer from alopecia).
@injertocapilar you once mentioned in one of the answers "there was no enough donor hair to restore the temples". What you mean by that. Isn't the donor hair limitless. If you take the hair from the back, it will grow back and you can take the hair out again, do you not?
@injertocapilar Okay. So someone like Tom Cruise, who doesn't have a big forehead, had more chances of concealing the alopecia even though his age is 50. What do you, as a surgeon, think he has had? Is it his natural hair or he had a lot of grafts made? Because he doesn't seem to have any signs of greying either. What's the cost of such great hair would be? just round numbers. If it's possible at all to achieve such results at that age.
he had good hair already..

@injertocapilar The transplanted hair has no receptors (AR, androgenetic receptors) for DHT, can never be affected.
