If they had done a movie completely based on Silent Hill 2, it would have been much better, PH would have been IN context, and people new to the Silent Hill franchise would be able to experience a real Silent Hill movie, the way it should be experienced. But when you change all the characters, turn the cult Christian, and have Pyramid Head show up out of nowhere, that is not appealing to a wider audience.

@MrRottenTreats7 Appealing to a wider audience would have been making an honest to god movie from either SH1 or SH2, (If they were going to add Pyramid Head then SH2) and maybe adding some exposition on what PH is and why he is there. That would help out newbs more. Btw, the Pyramid Head skinning scene wasn't scary at all. it's the scenes where he is dragging his great knife towards the protagonist, and he seemingly has nowhere to run that are scary. Gore is secondary to horror.
