  • At 4:25 you said Alekhine could win by playing Qg8 - or at least win the Rook. Why didn't he do it?

  • Maybe Alekhine was trying to win in style-- the position by then was almost overwhelming =)

  • I agree with ongyj, Alekhine was know as an attacking player so he played the continuation that matched his style.
