First of all, great video, I thought it highlighted his attributes and weaknesses well.
At first I wasn't convinved by this guy (his goal scoring record is distinctly average), but now I think he has potential.
Ultimately I seem him as a more dynamic Adebayor, but perhaps with not the same scoring capacities. He will provide us a 'first striker' so others like RvP, Eduardo (can also play first) and Arshavin can thrive around him.

If this guy truly is on Wengers possibilities list then for £7M he could be a bargain. The question is what does Arsenal need more...Defensive midfielder or Striker ? We have Eduardo, RVP, Bendtner and Theo who can play central role with Arshavin as a makeshift forward. i would prefer to see huntelaar in an Arsenal shirt but he would cost the majority of Adebayors fee leaving little left for a midfielder. If Chamakh is signed then a good £15-18M needs to be spent on a midfielder in my opinion.

This guy is a good Arsenal type player... he has some neat touches and some great vision but never finishes (who does that remind you of?) I think for £7m is a decent deal but we need a defensive midfielder much more and we need to spend the rest of the £25m on someone like Melo who we missed out on :(

Nik works his arse off for Arsenal & just needs to have a consistent run to have a chance to prove himself. We cant just shun him every time he misses 1 or 2 opportunities.He has scored a lot of important goals for us in the past and he runs his socks off.That's why towards the end of last season we were loving him & hating Ade,so thank god he pissed off ay! Don't lose faith in Nik. Sure he might not be as good as Van or Ade but its about loving & believing in the badge.

If this guy truly is on Wengers possibilities list then for £7M he could be a bargain. The question is what does Arsenal need more...Defensive midfielder or Striker ? We have Eduardo, RVP, Bendtner and Theo who can play central role with Arshavin as a makeshift forward. i would prefer to see huntelaar in an Arsenal shirt but he would cost the majority of Adebayors fee leaving little left for a midfielder. If Chamakh is signed then a good £15-18M needs to be spent on a midfielder in my opinion.

hes got everything that the modern day striker needs, good in the air(6ft2) quick , can beat a man and can dribble, from this video his finishing doesnt look to good, i think with arshavin cesc robin etc assiting this guy, he would score loads! torres wasnt reali a prolific goal scorer before he came to liverpool, his highest in 1 season was 16! so abit of class around you does go along way and with a good manager like arsene, openin the body up and pass it hard into the corner!

Exactly. Chamakh could be quality with the rest of arsenal. He's Tall, good in the air, and tries hard (better than ade) For the same reasons, Adebayor could be shite at Citeh. Hleb, Fabregas etc. were putting it on a plate for him in 07/08 but he might struggle at Eastlands.

This guy is quite good but we need a striker who can bang in the goals. God knows we can create chances, but we don't convert them.
Chamakh's career goal scoring record: 223 Apps, 53 Goals. That's over 1 every 4 games which just isn't good enough.
We should be looking at someone like Huntelaar for instance: 265 Apps, 179 Goals. That's 2 goals every 3 games.
He is also out of favour at Real, and we could probs nab him for around the £15M mark which is an absolute no-brainer my opinion...

I follow the french league closely as I spend alot of time out there and this boy has TALENT! forget about the vids on here, most are v old anyway and shows nothing on his quality! He is now technically gifted, fast, a good finisher and has a deft touch and a good field of vision. This boy is a steal for 7 million. IN WENGER I TRUST!!!.
