@1bustabuck I can't say its not good but this version completely misses the free fallin' part. The way Petty sang it embodies the feeling of free falling. Meyer, while he makes the chorus sound good he misses the dynamic nature the the chorus that gives it the free falling effect. I understand people like the emo feel Meyer gives it but to me the dynamic nature of the chorus is what made this song so great. He kind of leaves you with this effect on his last run at the chorus.
