  • I miss the old Gwen.

I hate that no one has any idea who I'm talking about when I say "No doubt" but when I mention Gwen Stefani they're like "Oh, yeah! She sings Sweet Escape, right?". It kinda ticks me off, cause her old stuff is 100x times better then her new crap.

I mean, yeah I DO like the genre of music that she sings now, but her's just sounds so generic. Like, there isn't that same crazy spirit she used to have.

  • I miss No Doubt, I remember when they aired this video

  • going from this to hollerback girl is the definition of selling out

  • mmmmhmmm. The most blatant 'selling out' ive ever seen. Im usually the guy who defends artists who are accused of selling out, but there's no defending her. How do you go from ska-punk to.... whatever the hell you call 'Hollaback Girl'?

  • 'it's not that you didn't sell out, it's just that noone wanted to buy you'

    get over yourself

  • tired of people like u calling them sellouts, they r not sellouts. people call green day, korn, metallica etc sellouts.none of them r sellouts. they grow up and want to do diff things, nothing wrong with that.

  • sorry babe, it IS selling out. Just like numnuth said, a style change THAT drastic, which includes ditching your entire band, moving to a style like the pop she plays, IS selling out. Green Day, Korn, metallica, their musical styles changed, but they still stayed within a similar genre when its all said and done. Metallica going from "Seek and Destroy" to "Enter Sandman" does NOT equal Gwen going from "Oi to the World" to "Hollaback Girl". Sorry cutie, you are WRONG WRONG WRONG.

  • i totally back your statement, but just for the record, this is a Vandals song...just so the credit is going to where the credit is due. done.

  • totally. Just using this one as an example, as its a very ska-inflected ND song, as opposed to Dont Speak or something like that.

  • @contrabndsuprman omg just because a bitch wanna take a break and try a couple o dance albums on her own and find herself, suddenly shes a sellout. Well shes back with the fucking band calm your tits superman!

  • how is it selling out? they make music for a living, thats what they do. they r musicians. they cant keep making the same music as they did when they where younger.

  • if you go from playing ska punk to playing the bullshit thats popular now for the sake of money and because your major label told you to. its selling out

  • I love their basist

  • rolf punky! hahaha

  • GWEEEEENNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!

  • Questa è proprio una chicca!!!

    I LOVE GWEN!!!!

  • cuz this song is over 10 years old and their roots are in ska....

  • never mind she´s lovely.....

  • you've to read something about history of no doubt and then post these shits...

  • Stefaaaaiiiiiini.Happy Birthday,Gwen.I love you so much

  • Gotta love No Doubt.

  • i no love no doubt i love them

    extranio no doubt

  • Quien diria, que nodoubt un tiempo honro a los skins

  • Haaaaaaaaa... Achei a musica!! faz anos q to tentando sabe o nome dessa musica...

  • GRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT SONG!

  • I love her legs

  • VERY GOOD SONG

  • your not supposed to really

  • chilling.

  • no doubt made this song kick ass

  • It was kick ass already, but I definitely the ska/reggae sound with it.

  • Smooth jazz? they never did jazz music, only ska, raggae, and some punk.

  • Yeah I love you Gwen!!!

  • that was a great song, but a hilariously lame music video.

  • I LOVE Tony's bassline on this one. I wish it was in the setlist for the current tour, but last night's show in WPB was still sick..

  • fuck yah i get to see them saturday

  • Yay for them goin on tour.. when she said she wanted a break from no doubt i had doubts that she actually would.. im goin to see them on july 21 im EXCITED!!!!

  • OMG they BLEW ME AWAY LIVE BEST CONCERT OF MY LIFE! SOOO ur going to have sooo much fun!

  • Yes i get to see their first show in they play since like the 90's, on the 22nd

  • I miss No Doubt. Gwen sucks solo, but she's still really pretty and makes cute kids. Oi!

  • i think your frustrated or mad because she dont do this type of music as a solo artist, wich i can understand, but she is doing HER. she likes all kinds of music, and as u've seen on her solo albums theres an array of styles, perfected for the mainstreem.

a lot ve people dont like MAINSTREAM & feel an artist "SELLS OUT". but gwen does gwen and is successful & i love her this way & da way she is now. I miss NO DOUBT TOO.

  • Mainstream is all about the money....and money is appealing, it's the groups that stick to the love of the music that should be celebrated.

  • Oi!!!

  • i love this song!

  • i prefere the vandal's version

  • i hope they play some of there old stuff, the new shit is garbage

  • gwen stefani self-centered?? really!! cause you know her right stop talking shit get a life no doubt rocks!!! I LOVE THEM!!! cant wait fort their concert in irvine is going to be bad ass...orange county whoo whoo!!!

  • WOOOOO!!! i agree no doubt is fucking awesome!

  • lol you sound fat

but if youre not you should hit me up and we can have some sexxxy chat lol ;]

NOT IF YOUR A GUY THO

  • hahahah nah i aint fat but i bet you are

  • ...Oh, that's right! No Doubt used to be good and Gwen Stefani wasn't always a self-centered bitch.

    Now I remember...

  • She was so much better back in the day with them. She sounded better, looked better, and made better quality music.

  • *gosh* i miss the 90's!

i miss old no doubt and gwen.

  • lol my french teacher made a dance up to this song and actually danced to it infront of the skool

  • Gwen looks heavier, she is so much hotter now. Better with age like a fine wine.

  • gwens the best shes so gorgeous

  • wow,

gwen was so freakin cool..i just remember her in that red dress on the "tragic kingdom album" or walkin through the store in the "sunday mourning" vid or..ah! memories

  • I've always wondered how 14 year old girls that like No Doubt respond to this song. Do they know it's about skinheads? I kind of doubt the target audience will pick up on the Fred Perrys and braces.

  • Go Haji!!!

  • I feel Shame :( I had no idea this was a cover

    Happy Holidays Cheers

  • makes me wanna go get drunk and start a circle pit lol OI OI OI

  • Awesome cover!

  • It wouldn't be Christmas without it.

  • why is the embed turned off?

  • My goodness.

Look at what a cutie Gwen is.

  • Wow, remember when No Doubt was a ska band? This is nice.

  • I miss this gwen!!

Despite the fact that most covers arent better than originals, this one is just as good as The Vandals.

  • Funny video and a good cover of a great song.

  • OI OI OI

  • the last album ND made wasnt that great and her going off alone was different but it ND comes together again i hope they bring back that punk sound they had with this song... ohhh and off every xmas song ive heard this is my fave along with that song mychem covered from mariah carey..

  • No Doubt is the backing band for STP's Scott Weiland new album!

  • not really No Doubt, only the boys of ND :)

  • oi to the punks oi to the skins oi to the world and evrybody wins .....................if only gwen did'nt go off on her own for a single carrer at least no doubt is getting back together

  • yay! no doubt is getting back together for a new album

  • God I miss No Doubt!! We need em back to kiss some ass.

  • Gwen Stefani needs to get back to her punk rock roots!

  • Her old stuff is by far the best but I think she has long since forgotten her punk rock roots and it would almost seem like Greenday's American Idiot type deal if she went back to trying to be punk/ska again. Or Metallica's Saint Anger er something awkward, overly popular and over played and ultimately annoying... Then it wouldn't be anything nearly as cool as this... *tear*

  • ajaj =P

    loss amoo!!

  • her best song!

    just kill all nazis!

  • stillpretty fuckin good oi!

  • hmmm i love No Doubt but this is not even close to as good as The Vandals...

  • of course most people tend to stick-with-the-original thing, but for me ND is better. since i don't like punk bands.
